Web Insight

One insightful technical read, one speculative subjective read.. but both worthwhile:
  • 10 Killer Wordpress Hacks - though not so much 'hacks' as guides to editing snippets of PHP.
  • Web Design Trends for 2009 - I've never understood how you project what a trend will be but Smashing Magazine is having their hand at it. There are some pretty good ideas in there but I'm not sure "rich interface" is a trend - isn't that just the web catching up with applications? I wouldn't look at Google Docs and say "oh sure, they went for that rich interface look on this one."
