On October 1st, 1993 comedian Bill Hicks performed for the 12th time on the David Letterman Show and, afterwards, the decision was made not to air the segment. Hicks passed away in early 1994 and, apparently, Letterman never properly forgave himself for pulling the piece. Now some 15 years later he is trying to make good by openly apologizing, speaking with Hicks mother and airing the performance. It's a great gesture from Letterman and nice to finally see the segment that never made it on air.
