Trippin With Howlies

This past Tuesday the first full-length record from Howlies was released along with a video for "Angeline." Most of the songs from the record, Trippin' With Howlies, have made their way around in various forms on different EP's and singles but the cohesion of the record is a nice treat. I think the cover art is a bit of an unfortunate decision but it doesn't impede the enjoyment of the music; continuing their tradition of a 50's influenced doo-wop sound mixed with a bit of surf and straight forward rock. At the end of the day, it's a fun album worth entering your regular rotation and should absolutely be experienced live - as there is an energy the band puts out that just can't be captured.
