IE6 Update is the most tasteful way I've seen to let web visitors know that they need to upgrade their browser. With IE8 on the horizon I see no reason not to implement this sort of thing. I understand that some business users have no control over what software is used on their PC's but if you're still using IE6 at your job you need to have a chat with your superior about keeping with the times. Within 15 seconds of visiting the site for Sound Manager 2 my jaw was dropped and I was bookmarking it for use in all future projects. Implementing streaming audio as a javascript / Flash hybrid is not for the novice coder but it's nice to see that someone has made a really robust, elegant solution to the problem.
