A smattering of nerd-related links to look at:- IRK.com - a URL shortener that is aiming to raise some funds for charity once the site is out of beta. Aside from that being a great idea, it's also nice to have "irk" be the base of your shortened address.
- ColorBox for jQuery - another Lightbox-esque style plugin that has one of the most tasteful default looks I've encountered in some time.. plus it has a load of options and hooks to make it your own. I've been going with FancyBox lately but I may have to give this one a spin.
- jQuery Flickr Feed - super easy to implement Flickr gallery from a few lines of JS code. The whole JSON feed from Flickr is probably somewhat under-utilized but this is a great use of it.
