Dropbox: For Me and You

posted March 31, 2010 #

I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again - if you aren\'t running Dropbox on your machine you are crazy. I recently had a machine crash and instead of starting completely over due to lack of regular backing up all I had to do was install Dropbox and I had back tons of my data - FTP favorites, address book contacts, fonts, personal photos, etc. Had I not been running the app, I would have lost a great deal of it.

I\'m telling you this for two reasons: 1) To share a personal anecdote about software actually largely benefitting the end user and 2) to get you to sign up for an account if you don\'t have one already. It will benefit you and benefit me. So, yea, my motives are transparent and it\'s a \"trick\" for more storage on my own account but at least you get something awesome out of it as well.

What is it you're looking for?
