I'm fairly sure that if you're in a band (or putting out records) that you should need zero convincing to put your stuff up on Bandcamp but just in case you needed that little extra oomfph, be aware that they are now reporting purchases to Soundscan (assuming you have a UPC). For a free service, they sure do offer an awful lot. Apparently there are now Adult Apps available for the iPhone. Aside from the obvious awkwardness questions of why you would need such a thing on your phone I have to wonder what sort of incredible embarrassing situations will arise when someone loans a friend their phone and their is a huge pornographic icon on the phone dock.
