An Albatross
Last Night I went and saw An Albatross play at The End. Here are some amazing facts about the show:- Overheard the guitarist warming up his vocals at the bar before they played. This consisted of him making some serious growling sounds while non-chalantly hanging out.
- Lead singer would do a David Lee Roth style jump at least twice per song
- Entire set duration was approximately 32 minutes (not including encore)
- Band would introduce songs just as any other band would - i.e. "this is a song about being on the road" - before exploding into gutteral screams and overall noise fest.
Basically it was just what I envisioned it would be so it didn't disappoint. However, now that I have fully confirmed that they are a more frantic version of Fantomas and basically have one trick up their sleeve I'm sticking to what I consider their best track and leaving it at that because I'm not sure I can handle much more.
