FC media player woes

Here's an interesting question for anyone willing to tackle it - the new Forget Cassettes site has an inline Flash based music player. It is contained within a div directly below the navigation, positioned relatively, and embedded via the Macromedia (ehem.. Adobe) Active Content javascript. The question is - why do the controls work in IE and Firefox on a PC - but not Safari and Firefox on a Mac? In fact, Firefox just gets rid of the player altogether. I'm guessing it has something to do with the position but no luck so far on figuring out why the browser would render things in that way.
