If you're on the Ken Andrews mailing list this is all going to be rather redundant but if you're not - listen up to the following:· New Ken Andrews solo album in first quarter of 2007 - new song previewable here. It's fairly underwhelming but better than some of his more recent output.
· The Los Angeles Digital Noise Academy wins the award for worst band name in a long time but, admittedly, it is a fair description of what the band is. Basically a bunch of like minded artists upload snippets of songs to a common digital depot, someone else downloads them, adds to them, and puts their pieces back into the depot. The concept is great - the name is terrible. A new song featuring Sharky from Creeper Lagoon on vocals is up here.
· First there was Golden and now there is a Failure Best-Of compilation entitled Essentials. It's a two disc set with the second disc being a bunch of demo's and a few b-sides that most diehard Failure fans have probably downloaded at some point but can now have on CD. Pre-orderable here the best part of it sounds like the "double sided poster with 14 song critiques by Ken and Greg." Bizarre.
