Spam prevention

My apologies to those of you that aren't web developers.. this may not be too interesting. While doing some research on htaccess files I ran across this article that proposed a way to prevent some, not all, spam robots from crawling your site and harvesting any data that it finds. Looking further into the concept I ran across this page that has a nice large list of bad bots that you can easily return a 403 error to instead of reaping your site. As with all spam / malicious internet tools you could never stop 100% of it but this is possibly a nice tool to have at your disposal.
