It’s your last chance, Disney. You still have 24 hours to change the ending of Star Wars to Bill Murray in that cantina doing his Star Wars lounge song. You can save this thing.
The work of Nashville artist Kevin Reilly is hard to describe. It's a mixture of comic strips, character exploration and standalone scenes. While not all of it belongs to the same "world" - there is a sense that much of it is part of a larger narrative and cast of characters that isn't immediately obvious.
I caught his Superabundance show over at the Julia Martin gallery and the cohesion of characters and world building revealed itself a little bit. Seeing these bits and pieces together pulls the curtain back, just a little bit, on the wild story that must be taking place inside Reilly's head.
Highly recommend following along over on Instagram and Tumblr for a fresh dose in your feed from time to time.

ActionKid does a simple but pleasing thing - he walks the streets of NYC. On a regular day, this may seem like a rather boring endeavor to watch but during the holiday season, there's a lot of NYC that goes nuts with decorations. Spending some time with his Rockefeller Center Christmas Walk (360!), Dyker Heights decorations or the Vintage Subway Train is a surprisingly pleasing undertaking. It's not quite the same as being there but, on the upside, there's no crappy weather or people shoving you around when you watch from your apartment. A fair tradeoff. Here's a 2019 playlist to keep you occupied for a few hours.
For reasons beyond explanation, I've been watching a good deal of Taco Stacks, a YouTube'r that spends his time driving around Pennsylvania going through people's trash to find perfectly good items for resale, recyclable metal material and flea market fair. He also occasionally goes to auctions or buys abandoned storage lockers, filled with random ephemera. His personality is pleasant and the footage is bizarrely captivating.
I know nothing of his back story but given he has 200,000+ subscribers, I don't think I'm alone in my enjoyment of his offerings.
