Due to
Dreamhost being down for a large portion of the morning (supposedly from
DDoS attacks, but who knows) I have been unable to properly browse. Because if I can't share what I see, what good is it? Regardless, here's a
Catchdubs style post of a bunch of stuff you should probably see.
Very interesting read on Stanley Kubrick from the Guadian entitled
Citizen Kubrick. Basically it tells the story of one reporter being given access to the massive wealth of information that Kubrick stockpiled over the years. Thanks for the link
Ryan.
New
David Cross disc in May. via
Slatch.
More about the
Coffee and Cigarettes film, with some nice little flash animation teasers.. also via
Slatch.
New
Supergrass DVD in June with 2 discs of stuff and a 21 track Best Of album. Why artists feel the need to put new songs on Best Of compilations is beyond me, but this one is no different - two new tracks so if you already have the entire Supergrass discography, you'll be picking this one up as well.
Donnie Darko director, Richard Kelley, making a "comedy-musical" called Southland Tales? The
news is that Sean William Scott will star along with the likes of Jason Lee, Kevin Smith, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and a bunch of others.. but what the hell is that about? Not to judge it before it's even a full fledged idea, but that certainly doesn't sound like the kind of quality film I'd expect from the Donnie Darko creator. Weak.
Dreamhost is apparently back - hopefully for a good long while now. BUT just in case it continues to have problems, what hosting providers do you guys use? I've looked at
PHP Webhosting and while it has a great price for a great deal, their Control Panel kinda blows.
MT is a big name, but they don't give the same great deal that Dreamhost does.. so, anyone? Suggestions?
