New
Presstube. Words fail how much I enjoy this work.

Ben Frost has some great work. Love the integration of recognizable personalities with the pure insanity style. Something about this stuff makes me think
Jeremy would love it.

One of the more bizarre links I've seen in awhile;
Gum Blondes. Portraits of pop culture blondes composed entirely of bubble gum. Wacky...

Hot art? Check. Super dope new website? Check. The site?
Ferris Plock. Check. The city vibe is great and the transitions get the major thumbs up...

Not to be confused with
Talkie Walkie, the new Steriogram video for
Walkie Talkie man is another great piece from Michel Gondry. Fun concept, great execution (love the video being displayed from the yarn camera). The song? Eh, I could do without it but this video will probably get them some airplay. Looks like
Eternal Gaze is a nice site in and of itself as well.. link via

I haven't spent as much time browsing a portfolio, random games, splash archives and recent work from one website as I did with
Majman in a long time. Everything is laid out well, nice user interface, fun to browse, and lots of inventive ideas (the splash archive piece with the different chimes is a favorite).

In a followup for my winamp AAC problem - check out
this plugin to play m4a files in winamp, and thanks to
Slatch and some Scandinavian kid, you can
crack the DRM on purchased iTunes songs.

It's always nice to see Republican
dollars at work. Whatever it takes to make Democractic front-runner John Kerry look bad in the media has to be done! Cocaine habits? Drunk driving records? Missed military service? Lack of attendance at soldiers funerals that he personally sent to their death? Wait a minute.. we're not talking about Kerry here are we?

Missed Modest Mouse on Carson Daly? No, you
didn't. Very nice that they didn't just bust out with "Float On."

I can't say that I'm interested in the specifics of the first issue, but the concept behind the new
Ladies & Gentlemen publication is great. A 12" x 12" magazine, screenprinted cover (by
Aesthetic Apparatus), and a record with songs from six different bands typically involved in the issue. I'm tempted to order just for the AA print.

Fantastic prints.. gross
jackets. Don't be that guy in the leather jacket with the unicorn print on it.. you can't pull that off, no matter how hard you may try.

The artwork of
Gregory Euclide is very retro-futuristic and interesting to the eye, but his site needs a
tiny bit of work.

Maybe this is my own bullheadedness at work, but does anyone know of a good
convertor to switch your iTunes downloaded m4a files
to mp3, please let me know. I've got every CD I own encoded as 192kbps mp3 and they play fine in winamp, sound fine when burned as a mix, and work fine for me.. I'd rather not have to load up iTunes everytime I wanna hear a song I actually took the time to purchase (i.e. the new
Modest Mouse).

The highly anticipated
Grey Album is never going to happen (nor was it ever intended to apparently). Must be nice for DJ Dangermouse to have gotten so much press for himself regarding an album that's never going to see the light of day because of copyright and licensing. So what's the call on digital downloading of this? Technically you'd be screwing Jay-Z and the Beatles for unauthorized copyright usage, but no harm to Dangermouse would be involved because the album can't legally be released, right? Not that I have any file-sharing programs (seriously) but it's an interesting topic.

Is
Dreamhost being painfully slow for anyone else? By that, I mean their site in particular and control panel.. it's pretty much zero response for me.. kind of aggravating.

Well, it seems that John Kerry
won the South and Clark will be departing from the race. Hopefully he will run again, I enjoyed his no nonsense, yet calm and collected, vibe.
