A company called
Colorware is selling
colored iPods. The range of colors is definetly ridiculous. Obviously not an Apple sponsored effort, I wonder how the company feels about this? It definetly breaks up their branding campaign. A
black iPod might be cool, but they leave the function buttons white.. so it's not really the total package.

I'm not one to claim that I understand all cultures or the fetishes within each one, but has anyone caught wind of
this stuff? Take a girl (or possibly a guy.. it's really impossible to tell), put them in a skin tight body suit.. throw on a fully encasing anime style mask and take some pictures of said person waving at camera or posing with robots. There are even
webcams where the person just seems to sit around and look distant. It's definetly not the American definition of pornographic but it is most definetly bizarre. Anyone got any insight on this?

So after a little bit of battery trouble mixed with an "in-stock" problem, I had to swap out my V300 phone for the
Samsung E715. Not as much of a rebate but at least it works. The phone is alot slimmer and seems to have alot more options (though I did prefer the menu on the v300). Thought you guys would want to know.

It Fashion has some cool photography, illustration, and well.. fashion. I'm always interested to see stuff like
this.. not that I think alot of people would wear it, but it's just a facet of design that I think alot of graphic designers seem to neglect in the search for inspirado.

Holy crap! Apple recently opened a store in Japan and
here's the footage of the line of people waiting to check it out. After about 20 seconds you get the jist of it, but it's absolutely incredible how long the line of people actually is. It's also kind of ridiculous, since the store is more than likely open more than just that one day and I seriously doubt Apple was giving away
anything for free.

I'm not really a fan of Nike, nor of basketball, but the Episode One over at the
Nike Basketball site is pretty great. Apparently it was done by
Logan Hicks and it's a great fusion of Streamlined images, stencils, and After Effects compositing. Actually it's just damn good art direction and execution. The final shot of the basketball court with the mural is great.

It's stuff like

I can't believe that
this is an actual feature length film. A funny 2 minute trailer? Yes. Over 60 minutes of this sort of kitsch? I'm not so sure about. But there is an
official site for the
Lost Skeleton of Cadavra on the Sony Pictures server.. so it's legit.

Apparently Jerry Seinfeld will write, produce, and star in an animated film about bees for Dreamworks. You can read more about it
here. Part of me hopes that it's exactly like the
Seinfeld sitcom but with bee's.

For those that don't follow it religiously, the
Beard Contest is putting together a "Throwdown 2003." So far we've got a good 20+ people coming together in celebration of beards and art and socializing on the 19th of Dec. If you can make it, let us
know.

If you're a fan of
Year Of The Rabbit but miss the good ole days of
ON, you might want to check out this
download of "Rabbit Hole" performed acoustically.. with a drum machine. Very ON-esque.

Check out
Pictures on Walls for some nice works from Banksy, Faile, Bast, Insect, and several others (including Pete Fowler.. though his link didn't seem to work). Best part about this stuff is that if you felt so inclined, you could actually purchase it. That classic Banksy print of the chimp is a must have.

Still no word on an album release (let's hope it's in 2004) but Autolux have some new
shirts for sale. The best part is that each shirt has the screen printed in a different spot, so no 2 shirts are alike.

I heard the new
AIR album today at work.. and found myself disappointed that I was hearing it before it was released. I think I've conditioned myself to not want to hear an entire album before it's official release date, as to not spoil the surprise. Maybe I'm a product of the RIAA's brainwashing, but really I'd just like to get it all in one package - artwork and music together at once.

Informative
interview with Apple CEO Steve Jobs from Rolling Stone (who happen to carry alot of iPod banner ads on their site.. convienent no?). Jobs insight into the success of the iTunes Music Store isn't as interesting as his open bashing of Dell (appropriate and funny) and his remedy for the music industry. The most interesting part is that it seems that he isn't completely against the idea of signing his own artists.. a decision that would surely land him in court with Apple Music (you know, the label that puts out all those albums by that band.. The Beatles?).
