New version of
entrauge is up and running. Nice transitions and Madrid's always got some interesting projects up his sleeve.

Anyone know who did the motion graphics for the MTV 2003 VMA's? I just saw a MTV promo that
NWYH had to have done (or someone seriously biting their style). I'm going to assume that since Good Charlotte is currently performing that the motion graphics will be the only good thing to come out of this show.

Lots of cool shirts over at
Humidus. And the best part? They are apparently having a Summer Sale right now - shirts for $13. That George Harrison shirt is calling my name for some reason. Link via the bearded
Chad.

Wow, apparently (according to
this newspost) the Dandy Warhols are playing a 3 hour stage set? No opening act, just all Dandy. That's incredible... has anyone caught one of their shows on this tour? I am giving new serious consideration to the Atlanta show...

One of the best streams I've found so far is
URN 1350. It's a British station so expect loads of Brit-pop style but they thrown in insane Brazillian style techno style tracks, quality rap and hip/hop, a tiny bit of R&B every so often and it's pretty much all quality. Anywhere that I get to hear the new
Electric Soft Parade pretty much gets the seal of approval from me.

I love that when I goto the
Arista site all I get is a tiled background with no content. I'm going to assume that most other people won't experience this problem - but you'd think there'd be some testers out there for a large label trying to establish the fact that their site works on all browsers, 99.9% of the time.

Hooray for mailing lists and their ability to remind me of sites that I really enjoy but had completely forgotten about. For example,
demian5.com has loads of great new stuff and a subscription service for $3 a year - pretty much the best deal ever for his unique style of comic.

Interesting
interview with Helen Stickler regarding her new documentary on prison flip-kicker Mark "Gator." Definetly makes me want to check out the film (though I'll have to wait for DVD release) and also lets me know I need to find a copy of her
other documentary.

Anyone know where to pick up some
tiny screws? I'm talking smaller than eyeglass repair kit size. I keep getting emails from
LOMO and being reminded that mine is slowly falling apart. A few new tightly inserted screws would fix it up. Anyone?

Heads up North Carolina - new works from
Jeremy Davis are on your way. Judging from the bit I've seen, it's gonna be what I commonly refer to as "the goods."

The new
video from Hot Hot Heat for "No, Not Now" is pretty rad. MK12 definetly has a style for their videos but it's a good style, so no complaints here.

Some of the best photography I've seen in awhile.
Kurt Arrigo brings the goods. The underwater shots alone would make the site incredible but there are alot of extremely well executed photo's here.

Very interesting article right
here about freedom of expression via graffiti vs. the corporate message pushed via billboards. Both are essentially attempting to do the same thing (push a message) but since one is backed by corporate revenue, it's not frowned upon. Trust me, the article makes the argument alot more elegant than I do. It's worth the free LA Times registration to read it.

Nice to see that the
Bill Maher show on HBO has returned but I must say that I'm a little disappointed in the lack of
Paul F Tompkins. Yea, they tried to pack too much into too little of time in their first season but his bits were always amusing. Either way, it's good to see that alot of issues are being discusses in a completely open forum (ya know, cause they can curse).

Take
that Jim Davis! You made a comic strip for what, 20 years? And it's finally being made into a film... It appears that Darby Conley's
Get Fuzzy has had it's rights acquired to make a (get this) live-action / cgi film. So maybe Get Fuzzy was just in the right place at the right time, but it seems like it and Garfield will probably attempt to be in direct competition with each other.
