Hell yea..
CSS in Flash. If the page looks lame to you, then you probably need the Flash 7 plugin. Either way, great to know that is a feature in the upcoming version. Thumbs up Macromedia. Thanks for the link
Daniel.

Ch, it's called "Seperation of Church and State." Apparently
these guys haven't heard of it. What's the big deal? Move the damn monument to a more appropriate place, it's not like you have to melt it down and laugh maniacally at it's destruction.

The street works of
you are beautiful seem to have gotten more and more ambitious over time (if you assume the first photos are older). Any of you Chicago-ites seen these things around town?

Jamie said he was going to bring me something to inspire mad stencils today.. but I think it's going to be hard to top the wheat pasting / painting / spray paint / giganticness of

Looks like Macromedia has announced
MX 2004 - their latest line of software upgrades. The new
Dreamweaver features seem pretty nice, especially the extended CSS support. The
Flash MX upgrade looks nice but I'm a bit torn between the regular and Professional style - the Pro seems like overkill but has a few features that are kind of a must (XML connector? ch.. awesome).

I remember when pop-up ads were killing my browsing experience. Two or three seperate little windows hiding themselves behind the main browser just waiting to reveal themselves at a later time. Yea, that was annoying but I can not begin to express my loathing for the DHTML / Flash ads that have reared their ugly heads on a ton of sites recently. They just decide to overlay themselves on top of all of the content and be as intrusive as possible. Sufficed to say, this is lightyears worse than pop-under ads. I understand the web needs advertising but I can't begin to comprehend the decision makers who thought it would be a wise idea to startle, annoy, and frustrate their customers - as well as hide the content that people are coming to their site for in the first place.

My parents brought by an old school record player this morning that they picked up at an auction ($10!). Now I can begin being the viny geek that I've secretly wanted to be for awhile. Suggestions? Any music that is a must to own on LP?

This weekend I finished reading
American Scream : The Bill Hicks Story. The book provided alot of insight into a man who's comedy has always struck a chord with me. You can read a review
here but pretty much anyone who reads this site and shares some common interests should just go ahead and check him out. His insight into the world and how dysfunctional our society is has every bit of relevance that it had almost a decade ago.

Another brother link:
Tell Bush to recall himself. Not exactly Constitutionally possible but still amusing. The best is the rationale the site uses.. basically saying if you can recall a governor, you can recall a president! Not quite fella's.. but still nice to see others noticing that with all the happenings outside of this country, our own is having some problems.

Due to laziness on my part, I've taken to listen to more streaming audio. All day yesterday was spent listening to a great set on
WRVU (5+ hours!). Today I've been giving
SomaFM a go. The Indiepop Rocks channel has been good (some hit or miss) and the Cliqhop IDM looks good too. Link via
Chad and
David. Anyone else got any great stations to tune into? (keep in mind that I'm kinda anti-Live365)

KG goodness:
It's not so much the control of what we think, but the control of what we think about. More. I haven't even read the article yet, but the quote was enough to intrigue me.
