Some hot stuff at
Upper Playground, like
this hoodie as well as
this one. Not neccasarily something I'd want to wear but the designs are pretty cool. The store in SF on Fillmore St has loads of these prints, but the art on the walls made the visit more noteworthy.

Ongoing log of

You'd think I'd have a bunch of photo's to share from my San Francisco trip, but you'd be wrong. Most of them have some sort of horrible soft focus overtaking the majority of the pic, or the shots are just stupid. BUT, you can view
this one and know that I did very little to the image in terms of adjusting (just some levels). Snuts.

Aside from growing a beard, I decided it was time for a massive haircut. Fortunately,
Jamie documented the whole thing.. so go check out my
mohawk. And massive props to
Daniel for administering the deal.

For those of you that are impatient, you can get the
Mr. Show DVD early - though who knows when that guy is going to actually ship it. This is the month for DVD's -
Bowling For Columbine,
Roger & Me, the previously mentioned
Futurama,
Mr. Show,
Simpsons Vol. 3 (
Treehouse of Horror next month), and.. uhhh.. the
hottest use of the ultra-lame Treefrog font that I've seen in a long while.

Randomly browsing GigPosters for
Programmable Press goods, and I run into
PS. I think I've seen this work before but it's still worth sharing (again). Oh, and for the record - the Nick Butcher stuff is
here.

Heads up, the
Steve Burns album came out today - as well as the Futurama Vol. 2 DVD's. Go be a good consumer and get them both.

I can't express enough gratitude to
Mr. Jamrog for his great hospitality in allowing us to stay with him in SF. Aside from it being great to have a free place to stay, he provided copious amounts of fruit, juice beverages, MUNI insight, and loads of entertaining comments. Arlo gets the massive interlocking double open-handed thumbs up.

Aside from being a good idea and a decently laid out website,
this is a hot stencil too.

anyone had any experience with
this camera? I enjoy my Fujifilm but it's definetly behind the times just a
little bit seeing that it shoots under 2 megapixels.
BeN is willing to sell me his for a reasonable price so I wondered if anyone had any input? It's a bit larger than my current cam but that focus ring is calling my name.

Note to interested readers. If you find yourself inspecting a copy of
this book for possible consumption I suggest you put it down, slowly back away, and never consider picking it up again. Fortunately for you I have suffered through this novel and can warn you of it's blandness. Way way too much interjected opinion from the author, and entirely too much introspection as to what Warhol may / may not have been trying to say in his works. Not a good straightforward biography..

AND "Cremaster 3" is coming to Nashvegas. Who'd have
thunk it? I put $5 on that one being "bizarre."

September 5th is the week for random movies that I never thought would make their way to Nashville. Both
Melvin Goes To Dinner and
Gigantic are opening. I have a feeling "Melvin" really won't be that great, but since it's related to
Mr. Show I'll be there.

Oh yea, went and caught
On The Speakers down on Market St. and highly enjoyed the show. Kind of drug on a bit but I think that was due to lack of familiarity with the songs. Definetly a whole lot stronger new songwriting effort for Ian than what Sharky came up with under the Creeper Lagoon moniker. Very similar CL guitar and vocal stylings, but that's fine with me.. as I really enjoyed Creeper Lagoon.

Not to obsess over facial hair or anything, but
this is hands down the absolute best thing I have ever seen on the web. Seriously.

Just got in from seeing
Bjork and must say that I had a great time. It was mostly a set comprised of songs from
Homogenic but still varied enough to be highly enjoyable. The fire and fireworks were most unexpected but highly enjoyed. And the best part? Didn't have to sit through a moment of the opening bands! I'm so open minded, aren't I?
Also, SF has been treating us well (that would be myself and Miss
SRJ). Downtown and Chinatown goodness today, and Haight St tomorrow (mmm.. Amoeba Records).
Sorry no fun links to browse.. just random insight into my day.
