Yet
another reason the MIDI is bad (I'm not gonna bash on Microsoft here.. cause who woulda thunk a MIDI could exploit your system?).

I was a little thrown at first, but I really like the
Frost site. Great portfolio presentation.

Welcome back to the web
Mr. Purvis, and congrats on the admission to photography school. Nice new site design, and good usage of MT (comments!).

Australia is going to
ban spam. I'm not sure exactly how you enforce a ban on unsolicited email (especially when the reply-to address is always invalid) and still be cost effective but I give them kudos for trying!

Coming soon.
Beard Contest 2003. Those of you without "real jobs" (or at least jobs where facial hair is not a factor) might want to consider participating. Details soon.

Argh!
Curses! Double the capacity of my MuVo player
and it's got an FM receiver. There's always something better... damn this technology and it's constant advances! And damn you
Nick for clueing me in to it's existence.

I wondered if there would ever be a new
Photo Genetic and it appears that there is. The new issue doesn't really stand up to the first one - but I guess I am just partial to architecture pics over nature (tho Issue 2 does have a few sparse moments).

Give the new

Well, lookee here. Seems like
Hollandesign has launched it's new version. Crazy outta control logo type, yet still elegant.. lotsa works to look at. And there is one pic in his 2003 Photo Slideshow that is of impeccable quality.. see if you can spot it. Good job Mr. Holland - you best be gettin some work from this, you deserve it.

Must find more pictures from the
Banksy Turf War. Apparently there were some upset animal activists over his painting some pigs and cows.. slightly understandable. Now I'm going to read this
interview.

I'm always surprised to find out things like this.. it makes me think there is a tiny presence of people in Nashville that know what might be considered interesting beyond large blockbuster movies and top-40 hits. It seems that one of our theatres is going to be showing the
Gigantic Film - the They Might Be Giants documentary. And the theatre is part of a chain! Go figure.

Looks like
Cursive is coming back to the
Exit In (worst site ever) as well as touring a ton beyond that. Oh yea, they also have a video over at
mtv.com.. beware of amazingly annoying large flash ads overlaying the site.

Downloading the Jack Black "Computerman" short over at
Channel 101 - a site that contains a few failed pilots and other random films. The "Second Time Around" show sounds ridiculous enough that it might be decent as well. Thank you
fA.

FlashPaper. Watch out PDF's - you got some competition. It'd be rad if the publisher for FlashPaper was free, as to give Adobe a real run for their money. Link via

Okay, pardon my nerdiness, but
Doc Ock looks amazing. Sure I could be a purist and question where his white labcoat is (he's a scientist, not a badass in a leather mafia outfit) but I'll let it slide because he looks pretty badass.
