I would really enjoy viewing more works from
72DPI but their is no music control on the site! I'm sorry, maybe it's a ridiculous pet peeve but if you are going to force someone to download a huge audio file to play ambient tunes while you browse a site, give an option to mute it! I have my own music playing thank you, I do not rely on the web to provide me with a soundtrack. Aside from that, the site is cool and the shirts looked cool.

Buzzard has his mixtapes back up and my "Summer Mix" is one of the mixes available. It's actually more of a random compiling of songs I'm enjoying at the moment that I happen to have on my work harddrive, but it would work as a summer mix.

Go check out the new
Black Eyed Peas album with their new jukebox. I would be willing to bet good money that the logo's were designed by
Blk/Mrkt, or at least highly highly influenced by the Shepard Fairey style. And "Let's Get Retarded" should be the hip-hop summer hit or there is certainly something seriously wrong.

Okay, so I'm stealing from
Nick again but
this article about lost 80's cereals is relevant. Because
noone remembers Fruity Yummy Mummy or Fruite Brute - and don't act like you did, cause there's no sense in trying to act all tough about breakfast cereals.

Cool illustrations by
Andrew Pommier. They aren't the "creepy/cute" that I've seen other places but there is definetly something suspect with his characters.

I can't decide what I think about the goods at
Dsense NYC. Definetly some skill involved but may not be exactly my bag. You decide.

Dear Macromedia,
The next version of Flash should have an actionscript equivalent to the PHP function
str_replace. It will bring smiles across the land and secure your place as a pioneering software maker.

Daniel once told me that illustration was "all about the thicks and thins." Go check out the
World of Wassco and you will see many many excellent examples of this fact. Link via

Apparently I've been missing out because several people have logged the redesign of
this log and I had no idea it existed. Now I know, and am pleasantly enjoying links like
this.

Another stream of conciousness
playground site, only this one has an actual sense of design instead of going for that pure insanity angle. Much more effective, good stuff.

I don't get it. That whole
CD Antitrust Deal seems to have gone through and it seems like some people might get a check for $12.63 but why are prices still $18.99? Am I just confused or wasn't the ruling that CD's actually
are overpriced and that price fixing was going on? Anyone got some insight into this?

The new
Vice Magazine is supposedly a big Photo issue - go order one. And then go read last month's issue online - the "I Call Bullshit On..." article is great.

Kind of a cheesy video but the
Ohm video sponsored by
AMP / MTV is a great song. It's actually somewhat of a weird EPK b/c of the talking interludes, but whatever - people should know about Ohm.

Don't you hate it when your pet runs outside and you can't find them for awhile. Standing out on your porch whistling, making strange nic'ing sounds, and calling their name you think "there must be a better way! I am exhausted..." Well, technology does it again - get a
GPS collar and you can look up where your pet is. Can't wait till they start installing these in babies.
