Absolutely ridiculous amount of incredible photography over at
LundLund. I'd recommend some to specifically check out (like
Calle Stoltz) but they are all great, so look at them all. Link via

Went to see
The Matrix: Reloaded tonight. Those of you who wish to form your own opinion, probably won't want to read this. Keeping in mind that I really found the first one more amusing than awe-inspiring this movie really just didn't do anything for me. Seemed like alot of stuff could have been cut (especially the rave scene, trust me.. you'll know it and hate it when you see it) and that the storyline was slightly flimsy. Yeah, loads upon loads of action but doesn't that need to be backed up by something? Especially by a movie attempting to be so religiously based. Regardless of what I say, you already know if you're going to see it or not - but my money is on the X-men series for the more successful and proper developed series.

New
Year Of The Rabbit site up and running... a little EPK video to watch, some wallpapers, buddy icons, and the ever rotating cast of images at the top (complete with bio's on each member). I'm way too judgemental of this band but the site is pretty informative so I can't knock em too hard for that... but that album cover.. a rabbits foot? C'mon.. too much.

Chris has earned the title "King Of The Internet" for links like
this, a Seattle paper article about the temporary shutdown of the Jackson, TN based Pringles manufacturer. Strange, informative, and entertaining.

Way to go Verbatim, for making a
standard DVD recorder that will work with any of those DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, etc formats. And thanks to my brother for the link.

Today at the gas station I saw a guy with not only no shirt, but no shoes as well. I thought this rule was a given - please wear a shirt and shoes in public. Please.

I had to figure out how to open a .CMP file this morning and found myself on the
LEAD Technologies website, a company that offers two new file formats.. CMP and JPEG2000. I won't go into how ridiculous it is to have developed a non-standard file format that requires a $100 plugin for anyone to view but I will point out
this page; a comparison between a "standard" JPEG and JPEG2000. Correct me if I'm wrong but the "standard" jpg is a GIF! I've compressed the living hell out of an image before and in the JPEG format there is no way you're going to get color seperations like that.. only with a GIF. Way to go LEAD Technologies, lying always gets the job done.

Illustration madness
here. Definetly that whole hand-drawn feel to it, but with an 80's twist to it. Or at least something that makes me think of the 80's for some reason...

I will proudly say that I called
this one. Basically this is the same problem as someone setting up
Shoutcast and putting a link to the stream on their site. There are ways to save the music, regardless of it's intended use - and I hope everyone remembers the hub-bub around licensing and royalty fee's for shoutcasters. Same problem as far as I can tell.

I know everyone who has one swears by their
iPod, but you gotta give some credit to the new
Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen mp3 player. 60 gig drive? Hello? That's twice the storage capacity of the iPod and it looks just as cool, even though it's in a different way. I hope it gives the ole iPod a run for it's money.

Have I seen
Art Prostitute Magazine before? I can't remember.. but I'm glad I'm seeing it (again?). The Jordan Crane flash presentation has a rad style to it, and goods by Evan Hecox are always enjoyable. That's not all that is good, but should be enough to get you to visit there.
