We put up a bunch of posters for the upcoming
Aireline show (May 9th, Blue Sky Court, Record Release show - if you're in the area and not there, well.. we need to have a talk) and a good number of them have been covered up or defaced. Now, I'm all for sharing space for other shows/artists but I insist upon
sharing. Promoting shows should not be guerilla warfare, it should be beneficial to all involved. I think what pushed me over the edge on this issue that some winner at
Tower decided to cut the poster in half leaving only the pertinent information, just so there was room for their poster. This is unacceptable. There is plenty of space for everyone, just because your poster sucks and doesn't catch anyone's eye doesn't mean you get to defile the work of those who went the extra mile. End Rant.

The new
Deftones video for "Minerva" is up on their site now. Lots of desert and windblowing. Not sure what I think of the song, definetly alot less dark than anything off of
The White Pony.

Because of
Nicks request for an archive of stuff that's been on this site, here's an
open directory of stuff I've saved. I still think some of it is pretty nice but deep down I know it's all pretty amateur.

The new
Volume One is nuts. Same basic style/concept that the majority of previous issues have had but definetly a bit wackier this time.

Lemme tell ya something, the new
X-Men movie is good stuff. The producers apparently realized it was nerdy 20-somethings attending the movie and not 14 year olds - so you get alot more killing and even some cursing! Okay, so it's still geeky as can be because it's a comic book adaptation movie but it's actually well done. Highly entertaining and definetly really well executed. Thanks to
Duncan and
Chud.com for the free passes. Oh, and there will be an X-3, count on it.

Looks like

this job posting is legit (and I don't see why it wouldn't be). Link via

The new version of
AIM supposedly lets you direct connect / send files through a firewall (though it didn't for me). And everyone says to use
AIM+ as an add-on but I went with
DeadAIM to remove my ads and create tabbed windows for chat (not my favorite thing, but an interesting option).

Anyone got any suggestions for a good printer? My HP Deskjet 870CSe decided it was done with living last night. It had been on it's deathbed for awhile, but now it's completely given up. Right after I gave it some new ink too.. oh well. So, something that can print a bit larger than 8.5x11 would be keen - but any suggestions are welcome.

I broke my streak of not seeing movies and caught
Better Luck Tomorrow last night. A film about a group of academically successful high school kids that get bored with their lifestyle and try out a life of crime. Not a horrible concept but that execution wasn't too impressive to me. The characters were just stereotype teen movie characters (the nice one, the crazy one, the unruly but overly smart leader, the quiet one, the hot girl, and the flippant boyfriend). All of the quotes from the movie's site are untrue in my opinion - nothing Exhilirating or Scintillating about it. Not the worst film I've seen, but probably not worth the praise it's receiving.

Now that I have a Powerbook I can nerd out on Apple stuff and it's completely justified! Updates like
this one that are being updated live with coverage from the Steve Jobs speech today. New iPods, new iTunes, and probably that new music service are all being covered.

Chris claims to have logged

Except for the full-screen, non-resizable window -
monster children is a cool site and looks to be a pretty cool magazine as well.

Apparently
Boohbah is some sort of children's programming, but if you didn't know that - and just went
here, you'd think it was someone's random tripped out drug induced flash movie of insanity and goodness (c'mon.. trampolines are wholesome). The random characters remind me of Om's from
Fantastic Planet mixed with Squishface from
Sealab 2021.

Does the following list appeal to you? Funny, campy, lo-fi, over the top, science fiction-y, and downloadable. If so, you may very much so enjoy
Robot Bastard, because it's definetly got all that. Oh, and it's directed by the same guy who did Heat Vision & Jack (which, if you haven't seen, you really should do something about). For real.
