Go get your education on and find out the answer to
What Is a Print?. Very simple explanations of how four different types of prints are made (or at least one method of each type). And if
Chopping Block didn't put this together, I'll eat my hat (or go buy a hat that I don't really like and then eat that).

Some new 2003 works over at
Hollandesign. The "River Stages" poster and experimental piece entitled "ville" are my favorites, but the two desktops are enjoyable as well.

Great concept (take an abandoned house and create art wherever you see fit), excellent execution, nice simple site layout, easy to navigate, fun to navigate, and there's alot of interesting work. Props to
the empty show.

For some reason I am inclined to read the movie gossip sites. They always report about loads of crap that I have no interest in. But occasionally you get a ridiculous piece of "information" like
this one. And while my first reaction is that a Knight Rider movie is a bad idea, I think I love the idea of it - as long as they keep it ultra cheesy. It could be amazing if they don't try and make it all futuristic.. or maybe like.. make it like the future they envisioned in the 80's, that was cool.

New goods from
MOOKS are up and available for browsing on their site. Apparently
Rinzen is one of their associates (who also has a bunch of new work on their site that is quite enjoyable). I still don't understand why Mooks doesn't have some sort of e-commerce system so you can actually BUY their stuff.. but I guess that's my American mentality.. consume! consume!

Check out the works at
HipHopHobbyKlub - specifically the first three sets that show off the process of street art. The third series results in a nice piece.

This
eBay auction is way too hot to not share with the world. I'm stealing it directly via
Nick but that's okay.. share and share alike. The specially outfitted keyboard and mouse make the package deal that much sweeter. This is geekiness at it's best and I, for one, am a fan.

Couple points of interest for the weekend:
· Screenprinting is fun.
· If you still haven't given
Forget Cassettes a chance, you're missing out. I had the pleasure of seeing them twice this weekend and really feel like those people who prefer to chat over watching them are denying themselves a great pleasure.
· The new merch / clothes item from
Mary Timony are kinda odd but it's just rad that she has handmade clothes for sale.
The new
Jealous Sound songs sound pretty much just like the first batch of Jealous Sound songs - always nice to have more of a good thing.
· Writing reviews for
SU is a difficult task for me, especially for bands that I know nothing about. But it begs the question - what's the best way to be introduced to new music? From friends? From internet radio? From reviews?

Cool little
article about the making of the latest
QOTSA video for "Go With The Flow" (probably one of the best art directed video's I've ever seen). The company that made it is called
Shynola and have done work for U.N.K.L.E., Radiohead, and lots of other nice clients. Good stuff. Link via
