Keep yourself busy looking through the new works over at
Hungry For Design. The illustrated Burt Reynolds will always hold a special place in my heart, but the new goods are a pleasure to view as well. Not always up my alley in terms of preferred style, but consistenyl intriguing to inspect.

Don't you hate it when you install a Windows "update" and then stuff stops working? Like my right-click "Post to Yewknee" Internet Explorer integration. Which is KEY to having this site work for me.. but unfortunately IE now tells me that external.menuArguments.document is not an object, though it was 15 minutes ago. Must.. fix...

Mad props to

Okay, when
Brian showed me
this I immediately thought.. how easy would THAT be to fake? Then I see that
Scott has linked the
same thing on a different news service, so the story becomes a bit more reliable. But basically the whole thing is just snuts.. invisibility cloak?! What?!

Just finished watching
Igby Goes Down and I must say.. I enjoyed it. Definetly alot better than a majority of movies I've seen lately.. good acting, good plot, nice soundtrack, and it didn't end as I expected (not that it was a huge surprise). Especially refreshing since it was such a huge "well known" cast.. I didn't expect them to pull it off. Gotta love a Culkin.

Check out
this cell phone. I'm not sure people like novelty items THAT much.

For some reason I can't get past how funny
this cover is. Not that anyone on the cover looks funny, just the fact that they are on it at all.
Buzzard represents well being the only one in a white shirt. If this cover is not real, it will be a real travesty.. the world needs this book cover (now more than ever).

Is it possible for
Freaks and Geeks to someday show up on DVD? Not likely but you can sign their online petition and show your support. I would sign it but I would rather rent such a thing, not straight out purchase.

New issue of
This is a Magazine. I wasn't going to post about it until I got to the second half - much more visual appealing pieces there (to me). The crazy wavy lines and rolled advertisements are nice, but I didn't get really into it until I hit the designer weapons of war.

Nerd out on
Animatrix Preview Trailer. I believe I read that the guy who did Aeon Flux was also responsible for this.. I'd believe it. Incredible style.

Strong portfolio by
Drew Tyndell but trust me.. you want to see piece "J." They all have something going for them, but I enjoy the clever nostalgia used in that one.. just wish the image was bigger!

While not typically the sort of style you'd expect me to post about -
Puddnhead has a really nice vibe. Love the creepy feeling most of it gives me...

I saw
this commercial on TV awhile ago and thought to myself "If Presstube didn't make that commercial, it's the most blatant rip of a style I've seen in awhile..." Turns out
Presstube did make the commercial, so there was no style biting involved.

Check out
this article that basically recounts all the better music industry articles from recently.. so if you missed out on those, now you can catch up. If you're not into reading a 5 page article regarding how the music industry needs to step up (it's not exactly a brand new subject), at least check out the articles accompanying
illustration. Love that style. Link via the ever diligent
John Purvis.
