Who needs the Superbowl when you've got the Internet? The best part is the commercials anyway, right? You can view
The Hulk preview that they're going to show online already (right
here). And ya know what, The Hulk looks
real cheesy.. maybe it's the quick cuts, maybe it's the whole Hulk concept, but it definetly looks like the action-packed summer Blockbuster that it's meant to be.

New
Banksy site coming soon. Rad - he's probably my favorite stencil artist at the moment. Both of his books are highly enjoyable.. I recommend you
get them.

Not that it's my place to judge but it seems like
Protest Posters is a good idea with kind of weak execution. I think a more effective anti-war poster wouldn't need to mock the President. We all know he is mindless and itching for a fight, the text is what's important.. not the silly photo. But just to clarify, I think it's a great idea to help spread the ability to protest the impending war effort (even though it probably won't actually do anything, it might incite some thought).

Nice variety of styles in the portfolio over at
Ink Graphics (or is Graphix?). I definetly detect some
Shepard Fairey influence in a handful of the pieces, but the vinyl, cd, posters, stickers, and logos all have their own look and feel for the most part. Good stuff.

It finally happened.. someone
sued eBay for slander. I can't say I'm surprised it happened - but hopefully it will have the same outcome as that McDonalds case... dismissed.

Does it amuse anyone elsee that the company that is "bringing
choice to the desktop computer" is called
Lindows and has a
website that looks a heck of a lot like
Apple.com?

If it wasn't already - technology is
officially insane. Ink-jet printer cartridges modified to print living tissue.

Local film production house
Ruckus Films has a nice film reel. I'll be honest and say that I'm not the biggest fan of all the music choices but the work itself looks good. I also enjoy that their identity (logo, etc) isn't all clean and fancy.. nice change of pace.

Photography from
Ash - good stuff. The "Nothing Special - but feeling strange" section is my favorite but there are certainly strong examples in every section.

Check it out - Hilary Rosen (you know, the head of the RIAA?) has announced she is going to
step down - which you probably knew. What you didn't know is that she
owns an iPod and is probably a rather nice person just doing her job. So check out this
article and read up on the business of "Hating Hilary."

I've read a ton of them, but here's another
gloomy music industry article about the impending doom of the big 5 as we know them. This one is particularly well written and does offer a few insights into the positive outcomes if the industry did collapse.. link via

I enjoy design sites that showcase a nice variety of styles and somehow let the user have some fun.
Wonder Wagon isn't chalk full of
games or anything - but it's a well done site that has a nice sense of fun to it.

Woah, Speilberg may make a film about
Abraham Lincoln. Maybe it will end with his assasination and then Speilberg will drag it out another half hour.. 45 minutes.. just wrapping more loose ends up that don't need to be wrapped up.

I've said it before and now I have more evidence to back me up. The combination of slightly cutesy with rather creepy
really works. This one tends to lean more on the creepy side but oh well.. super smooth animations, incredible gallery, and just a damn nice site overall. Link via Mr.

I've never seen it
this extreme but I assure you.. "CD Zapping" is real and highly exciting. We did this at an old job of mine and didn't have quite the same outlandish results but we did get some rad lightning in the microwave... maybe you should try it... Link via

Remember that guy that sued McDonalds cause his kids were fat? Yea, well the case was
dismissed. The judges reasoning is pretty sound but I wish he had just laughed in their faces.. that woulda been the best judgement he coulda made.

Check out the (graphic) photodocumentary
The Unseen Gulf War by Peter Turnley (Link via
Jpurvis and
Arlo). I sure am glad we're gearing up for more of this kind of behavior against other humans. Why aren't wars voted on? Wouldn't there be a higher voter turnout if it meant the difference between being drafted or not?
