Many thanks to
K10K and
Three Oh for the linkage. Be sure to check the Dwnloads section for some desktops (more on the way).. and yes, I know it's spelled wrong, don't expect that to change.

Here it is, version 5. Spraypaint goodness. There's still some work to be done on it but I figured I could present the entire web with a Christmas present... you like it? Well, now you can leave me comments through the power of Moveable Type.

Everyone and their mother may love them but that's not going to stop me from raving about
BLK/MRKT. Astounding work.. very strong visual technique... can't say enough good things about them, and now they've got a new site.

Nashvillians, mark your calendars.
Ben Kweller is coming to the Exit/In. Maybe that new booking guy IS doing a good job...

Jeff was tell me about hearing
David Sedaris read his SantaLand Diaries on
This American Life - and thanks to
this site I've run across the
archived stream... not really the kind of thing I want to listen to while sitting here at work but I've read the short story and it's quite amusing, so you may want to gather the family around and partake in his musings.

I've seen the works of
Supermundane in Faestetic and This Is A Magazine before but never his site.. and now thanks to an
Arkitip link that's all been changed. Love his style.

New works at
Demo. Alot of them are not in the same vein as the "typical" super in-depth vector intricacies.. alot more of a handdrawn feel. Nice variety.

Funny
Terminator 3 trailer. "She'll be back" - man, they just gotta work that in there! So clever!

Informative link from
the615 - the
2002 Year-End Zeitgeist. Basically the top searches (and thus, interests of the internet nation) via google. Unfortunately, no real surprises.

The new
metro/sea site is pretty rad. The portfolio of works is stylin. I know if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.. but I wish the log text was aliased - and not embedded.. it just looks weird the way it is on my machine. BUT to counter-act that statement, the overall design is really nice, the portfolio is all strong work (he designed a tent!), and the mixtape has some great songs in it (anyone including
Cex in their list of listenable's knows whats going on).

D'oh, nevermind about
LUCA - I just had an old page bookmarked or something. I'm dumb.

I heard a dirty rumor that
MOOKS closed their doors - anyone know if this is true? I hope not.. their winter line was actually rather cool looking. And Mooks reminds me of
Luca - why is this site down? I loved the works, I wanna look at it again.. c'mon Internet - bend to my whim!

I love the layout of
The Art of Sarah Doyle. It's very "print" oriented in a way, but it works. There's an element of chaos to it all but it works.. the squirrel belt and Prince pants are entertaining as well.

Beauty through simplicity over at
dextro. Even if you just view the first piece, it's worth the visit - great movement. There's some hit and miss style stuff, so it's not for everyone - but I like how the nav is laid out and that there is some sort of strange inherent beauty through math.
