Now
this is a good way to start a day... inappropriate but definetly worth a chuckle.

Ryan has scary clown stencils and cool links to British
Donnie Darko Art Exhibits.. okay well he just has that one link but it's cool. I agree with him that I want to see some nice quality versions of the pieces created for the show - the sneak peeks they give on the page and in the videos are just enough of a tease to want to see more.

The
Absolut Stella site is rather nice.. good concept, very nice execution (love that Flash video in MX). The presentation of the clothes is a nice combo of vector and bitmap..

Apparnetly you can view the "full image" for the new
Matrix posters - but umm.. isn't that defeating the point? The "bad" cropping is what made them such well designed posters.. otherwise they're just glorified headshots. Weak.

Love the textures on the
Dredg site. I still need to actually listen to them, but irregardless.. i like the textures.

Caught
Jackass: The Movie this afternoon and was quite entertained. If you weren't a fan of the show, don't waste your time because it's just an hour and a half long episode.. but definetly a riot. Apparently I wasn't the only one to think so either, because it will prove to be #1 at the
box office this weekend.

I saw
Punch Drunk Love tonight. I feel that the anticipation was worth it.
Paul Thomas Anderson will be hard pressed to ever top his epic
Magnolia but that's not to say he doesn't do a fine job anyway.
Adam Sandler did an excellent job, much to his nay-sayers chagrin I'm sure.. he was a believable Barry Egan. Never let anyone give ole PTA crap about taking too long with his movies, the results are worth. The only complaint I have about the film is that the character
Emily Watson portrayed didn't have much, if any, background to her.. but I suppose in the end, the ambiguity was on purpose.. and very effective.

The jury is back on the decision -
Tony Hawk 4 is just as distracting from work and addictive as all the others.. maybe even more-so.

these things have always greatly amused me. "None of us is as dumb as all of us" is definetly one of my favorites.

Life through a lens and see what you think. I love the colors and "tunnel vision" effect on lots of the pictures. If you're in a hurry, just check the Photo Of The Month section.

I've been saying that labels should
do this for years. Finally someone is putting digital versions of the music onto the CD - unfortunately it's Windows Media but hey.. you can't win em all. Still a good idea for the labels to pursue - as it cuts out the work of having to make mp3's and might prevent people from file-swapping. More ideas benefitting both the consumer and the label are good.

This sniper chase gets more and more interesting as the night goes on - too bad I have to sleep. The whole
duck in a noose is just bizarre - did the guy want the police to act as if they'd caught him and get the media off his back? Doubtful to me as it seems he probably wants the media attention. Maybe it's some crazy manipulation of the media using them to send out a "code word" to a larger group of people that know that ducks in nooses mean it's about time for the shit to hit the fan. Or maybe that's all just sleep deprived paranoia... probably so.

I'm kind of fiending for a new
Digital Camera - one that uses SmartMedia would be preferable (since that's what I have now). Printability and good color control are a must - any suggestions?
