Oh man, it appears that Epic Records has gone to
drastic measures to ensure the new Pearl Jam and Tori Amos albums don't get leaked onto file-sharing programs by reviewers. They sent our portable CD players glued shut, with headphones glued in, as to prevent someone from ripping the tracks. Will this actually prevent the albums from leaking? I wouldn't bet money on it...

I'm looking for information about a new Gameboy style TV-convertor for playing old school Atari 2600 games (my brother said it was in production). But instead I found
Atari Age - a site with lots of random Atari information and goods (such as
this Quake 3D map from the game "Adventure".. rad).

Hell yea.. can't get Windows XP Service Pack 1? Just download
XPdite and fix the ridiculously easy to exploit security hole with the click of a button (and about a 3 second download). Many thanks to
Scott for the link. Oh, and yes the program is
legit.

Check out the splash for
MadreTTor. You can check out the whole site too but since it's some new international festival for [Media]Art, NET_Culture & technology taking place way across the pond - the info won't help ya too much.

I somehow always forget about the
DCN - and there's tons of good stuff there. I'm about to delve into a
Quasi concert.. while I read their
Yahoo group. DCN.. good stuff. remember that.

I thought that
this was representative of too much spare time, but then
Bryan showed me
this and I'm as equally baffled. Insanity.

I really love
this guys font called "Sys", very nice. The "SysFlash" version is cool too but loses the 'ink traps.'

Check the trailer for
Adaptation - it looks like Spike Jonze might have another winner. I'm typically not a fan of actors acting with themselves as two roles, but Nicolas Cage seems like he can pull it off from the looks of the trailer.

Just got home from seeing
One Hour Photo and I must say.. great cinematography, beautiful shots, even some nice subtle motion graphic type stuff for the initial titling. Robin Williams can definetly play a creepy guy but beyond that.. totally lacking. The plot was weak and it just felt like for SO MUCH build up, that more would happen. And the little turnaround at the end where you're supposed to feel some pity for Sy was pretty ineffective. Now, see, I've kind of ruined it for you and you won't waste your money like I did.

I'd been running out of euphemisms, now I've got a whole
arsenal to choose from. Kind of an interesting site beyond adding to your vocabulary.. explains what some things mean, where they came from, etc.

Interesting article about the
RIAA vs Verizon and the fight for legal online anonymity. Should be interesting since Verizon actually has the money to buy some kickin lawyers.

Does anyone remember learning that the President Of The United States (and other elected officials) were in office to represent the will of the people? Did I make that up? Is anyone in America behind the tyranicism that is
George Bush?? Do a majority of people in this country really want to go kick some sand into Saddam Hussein's face just to see what he'll do? Is anyone behind
these issues that are so outlandish and ridiculous that they seem like jokes at times (I realize part of it is the presentation.. but still...).
