Morgenmete: Breakfast Satire

posted May 23, 2018 #

Tim Lampe is a name you might know. He's been involved with creative for Mailchimp, Bitter Southerner and Atari. He made Horse E-Posters and plenty of other fun things.

His latest endeavor is Morgenmete, a "Breakfast Satire Print Journal." In short, it's a limited edition magazine with articles, photography and features about the best meal of the day - breakfast. He's a reliably funny and creative guy that's running a Kickstarter simply to print the first issue and bonus rewards. It's not an insignificant amount of money that he's seeking but, given his track record, it's a sure bet that it'll be funny and worth a read.

If nothing else, backing this project just for a tote that says "I Never Skip Breakfast" is worth the money.

I actually want and need Castro and other podcast players to succeed. My goal of keeping podcasting open requires *diversity* among player apps: so many apps, all built on open podcasting, that producers can’t ignore or control them all. Overcast can’t do it alone. https://t.co/2T9oTHNRbx

@iusedtobepoor @anb722 I guess it's a habit of prioritizing fashion over comfort. I'm not especially fashionable but shorts always struck me as a first step toward sweatpants and tracksuits in public, which telegraphs to your community that you've given up.

We Own This Town: Volume 108

posted May 22, 2018 #

It's a day late but the latest episode of We Own This Town Music is now available! After a hundred and eight episodes, you'd think that I'd stop being impressed by the amount of great music coming out of the Nashville metropolitan area but there hasn't been a moment of waning on that feeling. It continues to be a deep well of enjoyable creativity.
As with all podcasts, I implore you to Subscribe. This helps me get a gauge of how many people are listening and, frankly, know if what I'm doing is worthwhile. An iTunes review would be stellar but I completely understand how much of a pain in the ass that is.

Anyway, enjoy the show. Hope ya like listening to it as much as I like making it.

@yewknee Are you trying to feel better or to indulge your sadness? If the former, https://t.co/uihLAi5Idz. If the latter, just stream the last episode of Six Feet Under.
