Well lookie here! Another
quarterly mix of music I've been enjoying. You may notice some overlap from the previous installation but good music should really stick with you for more than 3 months.
You can hear it on
Spotify but you'll be missing out on a few tracks that just don't exist there. So I suggest diving into
Mixcloud or doing it the good ole fashioned way, with a download.
- Rob Crow - Oh, The Sadmakers
- Penicillin Baby - Working Man
- Music Band - Day Stealer
- Mild High Club - Windowpane
- Mogwai - U-235
- Big Black Delta - It's OK
- Disasterpiece - The Last General
- Makeup and Vanity Set - There Is No Law Here
- Makeup and Vanity Set - From a Distance (Theme from Hit TV)
- CASA - Fogpuncher
- Nicolas Godin - Orca
- Nightblonde - Endless Sleep
- Hot Chip - Ready For The Floor
- The Strokes - Oblivius
- Brian Eno and David Bryne - The Jezebel Spirit
- Vongoffey - You You You
- David Bowie - Moonage Daydream
- Jim Sullivan - Plain As Your Eyes Can See
- Radiohead - Daydreaming
- Sonny and the Sunsets - green blood

While I've never been to a Comic-Con, I always love indulging in a deep dive of photos that capture the insane cosplay. Fortunately,
Lee Gilmore makes that easy with his giant archive of photos. I will be spending plenty of quality time exploring the
Comic-Con 2016 set and enjoying all the
greatness it brings.

This is terrifying, you should read it, and I couldn't agree with it more. Something very bad is coming. https://t.co/8a60ArDuSN

80s/90s Pop culture worm hole: Russians interfering w/ a Clinton presidency against Donald Trump. Ghostbusters in the news, a new Star Wars.

After the wave of 80s and 90s nostalgia hit in the 00s, I was always expecting something of a pop culture ouroboros, but nothing like this.

this is ESSENTIAL reading if you don't want Donald Trump to be your next president. https://t.co/xL0UgMMjbn

What happens when artwork becomes life’s work? When creator becomes a caretaker? SOME KIND OF QUEST, from Sylvain Labs, Greencard Pictures and director, Andrew Wilcox, is a film that invites you into the singular world of Northlandz, a 52,000-square-foot model train installation just 75 minutes outside of Manhattan, and into the ornery mind of the man—and steadfast wife—who brought it all to life.

I am in LA this weekend attending a good friend's wedding. If there are things I
must see while I am out here, please
let me know.
- The Life of Death - a delightful animation. Have watched many times.
- Tower Defense - Glyphs - if you didn't see it earlier this week, the new music for Tower Defense is a good one
- Kylo Ren Outtakes - Star Wars videos are such low hanging entertainment fruit, sometimes they can not be avoided.
- BorkBusters - an excellent palette cleanser for all things Ghostbusters related.
- Jon Stewart on Colbert - Not even a mild misstep here. I miss my Stewart news skewering.
- Futurama - Fan-O-Rama - you know how everyone says puppets and practical effects are always better than CGI? Sometimes the opposite is true and the practical effects and pure nightmare fuel.
It's a lengthy one but
this profile on Bruce William Zaccagnino and his
world's largest miniature train setup is actually fantastic. I've seen this in person and the size of it is hard to comprehend.
