I spent a fairly substantial amount of time browsing the works of Markus Magnusson and I can't even begin to pick a category of singular piece that exemplifies the fun of his work. The Just GIF's is, of course, a great place to start but these illustrations or these Google Doodles are decent jumping off points. Of course, the Busy Block promo and Cat Mayhem piece are pretty much essential viewings as well. Pretty much, you should click on everything available to click on.

Paul Robertson, Super Dino Boys

When it comes to animation, there are few things more satisfying than a full-fledged Paul Robertson animation. I could watch Kings of Power 4 Billion % every day and probably see something new each time. Long story short, I'm a fan. His collaboration with working with AdultSwim last year was a real treat but I assumed it was a one-off. So, it's great to see that he's done another series - Super Dino Boys. It's maybe not as jam-packed as Kings of Power but it's got the same energy, intensity and nostalgic nods that make them so enjoyable. There's a part 2 and, I assume, more on the way.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Teaser #2 - despite my better judgement, I enjoyed this. It's obviously pandering on so many levels but count me in. If McConaughey likes it, I like it.
David Hasselhoff - True Survivor - music video from the forthcoming Kung Fury short. It's as ridiculous of an 80's music video as you'd want it to be.
Sizzler Promotional Commercial 1991 - I'm calling this an Endurance challenge. How far can you make it through this 4 minute internal training video for Sizzler. Seriously, is this a joke? Surely this was not really circulated. It's so insane.
Ty Dolla $ign - Paranoid - this is the strangest combination of R&B, horror and sci-fi rolled into one well executed package that I've seen. I mean, I haven't seen a lot but this one takes the cake.
Aaron's Animals - Cat Sledding - no one ever explain this to me.
Mystery Twins - TV Talk - a friendly reminder that Mystery Twins released a bad ass new single with an animated cover. Enjoy it!

Other Space

I can't believe I'm saying this but Yahoo Screen is actually interesting me as of late. The reboot of Community was an interesting enough procurement (and the season is good) but unbeknownst to me, they also have been showing a new Paul Feig show - Other Space. If you're familiar with Feig's early work - particular Undeclared - and set that in Space, you're pretty close to what it offers. There's also an eerie familiarity to the old BBC show Hyperdrive but I suppose that comparison could be made to any show that features a hapless, dysfunctional crew bumbling their way through situations.

Long story short, I couldn't believe Yahoo bought a Paul Feig show I knew nothing about and, moreso, I am pleasantly surprised it's good.

Take a moment to browse deep into the work archives of Kate MccGwire. For the past eleven years she has been creating sculptures and installations largely created by massive amounts of feathers. Around 2008 you start to see these massive cabinets filled with organic snakelike structures and they only get more more intense over the years that follow. This collection compiles many of the best together in one convenient set. The installation pieces are hard to imagine given their scale. Lovely work.

Inside Abbey Road

My brother shot me a link to Inside Abbey Road, a Google presentation that tours inside the famous studio and highlights different historical bits and pieces throughout. While I found that educational, I was mostly fascinated by seeing the physical space of the three studio rooms - something I had not ever bothered to look up before.

There's also some nice nerdy tech with youtube videos playing back on a 3D plane but that's obviously a compelling draw for a particularly niche audience.
