Truly can't believe I used to post Friday Videos weekly. How!? There's more video than ever these days but the time to see it all seems more fleeting. Anyway.. let's not ponder that!

Found this cover GIF from Stinky Zaba and I gotta say.. been a minute since I browsed a Giphy account but that one really satisfied.

Here we go...

• Dave Mustaine Concert Etiquette - a true gem.
• Kathy Don't Go! - sometimes Found Footage Fest founds a true bop. You gotta make it at least 90 seconds for the full enjoyment.
• Edward Furlong, "I'll Be Waiting" - absolute endurance challenge. Yea, you can make it through the narrated intro but can you make it through the song?? Big props for the SMB style title card.
• David Faustino, "I Told Ya" - what's that? You want more actor-to-musician cringe videos from the 90s? Bud Bundy delivers! Honestly, it's awkward but is it awful? Only one way to know.
• Stool Scanner - I believe this is a real product. The infographics are next level.
• Watch this Dove Hydrate in Seconds - it really does it.
• How Americans see EU Tech - unbelievably accurate. Ten minutes but satisfying start to finish.

Cover art by Dax Norman. Hard to pick from everything on Giphy, go take an enjoyable scroll through that one. On to some delightful distractions for you...

• Jamiroquai + Sony MD, 1996 - forget that Beefeater remake, immerse yourself in the insanity of Sony MiniDisc commercials from 1996. There's so many of them. They're all ridiculous.
• QVC Debates the Moon - there's a lot going on here and all of it is maddening.
• Punk Compilation - the acting is phenomenally cringe but the actual song selections are baffling! Literally no one involved with this had any idea what these words meant.
• The Slipnutz Open for Slipknot - a vintage Conan piece. Completely stupid but a helluva payoff at the end.
• Freak on a Leash with Orchestra - just need you to know this exists. And, yes, there is an abrupt cut at 2:30 for the gibberish scating.
• If Other Metallica Songs Had the St. Anger Snare - I have zero opinion about Metallica's album St. Anger or what the snare sounds like but I really enjoy that someone made this.
• Highest Jumping Dog in Ontario - this is what the Internet was made for.

I was gonna have the cover GIF be footballer Erling Haaland getting spooked by his own reflection and let you know it's a deepfake manipulated from a clip originally created by Chinese creator Jin Long... but that's not what Friday videos are about! No soul crushing reminders of modern times! Just stupid videos. Let's go.

The absolute best thing you'll see this week is "heaven let your eent shine down," which can not be embedded outside YouTube so you'll just have to trust me and go enjoy it. absolute perfection.

• Horse kicks tree, farts on dogs then runs away. - shockingly, also perfect.
• You're a Dish Network Pirate - pretty amazing clip where a DISH employee lets you know they are on to you. I love it.
• Some Albums With Great First Few Seconds - a lot of clips packed in this 3 minutes; all very satisfying.
• PROFITWAVE!!! - I was confident this was AI. A Star Trek-esque theme song from Philip Morris to promote profits from cigarette inventory. Nope, this is a 1987 reality. Also, a total bop.
• Center Core Never More - a music video made in the early 90s on an Amiga 500. Impressive and insane to say the least. Also kind of a bop if we're being honest.
• Tango (1980) - Oscar winning short film featuring an absolutely insane number of looping animations. I can not fathom the work involved to create this. Yes, its 8 minutes but it is captivating.
• What's Michael? - some things you don't need to understand, you just enjoy that they exist.
• Obama Does the Tetris Beatbox - back with another dose of internet perfection.

I posted about this in Friday videos but it really bears repeating - this Dev Lemons song and video for "Maybe I'm the Reason instantly hit heavy rotation. The track is a blend of ethereal and melancholy pop that unfurls into a big wall of fuzzy guitars. Delightful.

The video is lo-fi as hell, combining vaporwave, glitch, videogame and a twinge of unexpected horror. I absolutely love the turn and I think you will too. Repeatedly.

In a world of TikTok, Instagram Reels,YouTube Shorts and every other "pivot to video" platform out there - I don't think you really need a collection of videos to distract you on a Friday. But, then again, who doesn't need a random slice of absurd happiness simply for the sake of absurd happiness? Let's go!

• The Strangest 1970s Public Information Film of All - you do not know where this is going. I promise.
• Bob's Burgers "Transmission" - an excellent Joy Division cover. Watch like 30 seconds, that's plenty.
• Puerto Rican Michael Jackson - I love MontessoriBoy. This one is particularly stupid but that's the charm.
• Robot Falls During "Billie Jean" Dance -Truthfully, a pretty stellar recovery but I lost it the first few times I watched.
• Breaking Bad but his HAT grows proportionally to his ego - just like the title says but it really delivers.
• Dev Lemons - Maybe I'm The Reason - new-to-me artist bringing the goods with this video. The first 1:40 is a delight but the turn is the real treat.
• The Room Returns - The original version of The Room cost $6 million dollars and months to film. What if it was done by professional actors with no budget, all green screen, no rehearsal and only teleprompters? Better? Worse? If you live in LA, you can find out next week.

Times can be tough. Let Nic Cage inspire you to keep going. Here are some distractions for your day as well.

• Top 5 Men's Freestyle Trampwall Runs - are you familiar with Trampwall Running? Welcome to your new favorite sport (?).
• System Of A Down - Chop Suey [ Cover by TORWAI] - honestly? perfect.
• Godzilla vs Zilla - remember the 1998 Godzilla movie? I recall it being a flop but had no idea that in 2004, the American version of the creature reappeared in the Japanese Toho movie Godzilla: Final Wars and got destroyed in mere seconds. Pretty brutal takedown.
• Shipping a Button, 2026 - some niche content here but if you're involved with Tech and Engineering at all, this will hit home. If not, it will be complete gibberish.
• Tele Novella - Broomhorse - did everyone in your high school suddenly become obsessed with Harold and Maude for a semester? They did at mine. This Tele Novella music video is an excellent tribute to it.
• Angine de Poitrine on KEXP - I don't want to know anything about this band. I just want to bask in their existence.
• Moron Movies Part 1 - endurance challenge: how many stupid clips can you make it through? Some are genuinely funny. Many are flat out dumb. A few are bizarre beyond description. Only one way to see them all.

I mentioned Switch Angel in a recent Friday videos but their work bears repeating. Even if you have zero interest in trance or dance music, you should watch this process of creating music in Strudel. What's Strudel? It is:

a new live coding platform to write dynamic music pieces in the browser!

Put another way, it's a text based interface where you write music instructions that change in real time. As you can see from Switch Angel, it also has just the right amount of visualizations to take it from boring command line interface to futuristic hacker style goodness.

Like any coding language, it looks confusing and foreign at first but as you learn the shorthand, it makes more sense. Switch Angel's narration (which must be practiced, it's too perfect) provides another layer of comprehension.

I am sure there are other Strudel artists out there but just Subscribe here and enjoy the recommendations that will now come your way. It's a treat every time.

Lots of bad news comin' at ya at all times. It's rough out there! You should consume it and make sure to take action where you can. You should also browse every jjjjjohn GIF available to you and enjoy the aesthetic of it all. Make sure to follow on IG as well. Here are some more distractions:

• Everyone Dies - public access performance that takes a wild turn around 40seconds. Soak it in and enjoy it (spoiler alert: NSFW). There are additional performances worth watching too.
• Do you know anything about techno? - right when you're in the middle of galactic ecstasy, it goes acid! Incredible clip from Vibrations (1996) which has one of the most outlandish plot synopsis I've read in some time. Apparently the whole thing is on YouTube and the final scene is.. quite something.
• Coding Music for Cold Machines - frankly this deserves its own post but Switch Angel is a musician that uses a live coding environment called Strudel to make these compositions. The narration is intentional and the results are fantastic. It's ten minutes and it's consistently riveting. Ironically, well connected to Vibrations in its own way.
• Professor crashes out over cheating students - 11 minute sketch that escalates in a way that you don't see coming. I know 11 minutes is a long time but stick with it. If you don't have time for that, watch the IG edit.

I also suggest diving into the whole Almost Friday account - lots of treats to be found.
• My Pet Toucan, Chester - this bird sounds like dinosaur and is delightful. It's 90 seconds, enjoy.
• Taylor Swift > MF Doom - quality Doom impersonation.
• Train Timing - competitors must time dropping a ball into a train car. It's ridiculous. It's 13 minutes long. And it's oddly soothing!

I searched Giphy for Weird Santa and ended up with this Weird Satan. I'll take it! Turns out this is from a 1959 film called Santa Claus vs. the Devil that was also on MST3K. It all makes sense.

• Mr. Microphone, 1978 - at your next Christmas party, just set the dial on your FM radio and go nuts with Mr. Microphone. Please watch the whole thing, the examples are truly ridiculous. Also, if you're a musician, bring this back.
• Episode I Podrace but I made all the sounds with my human mouth - really rides the line of stupid and impressive.
• N-E-S-T-L-E-S - do you remember this extremely dramatic NESTLE commercial? I did not but now I can't get that song outta my head. 1986 advertising bop.
• Faith No More - Sweet Dreams - apparently Mike Patton felt the same in 1991; opening this show in Rio with the same jingle.
• American High: Chip Short - starts off with a solid premise and continues to deliver.
• Meels - Willow Song - it's a Hee-Haw tribute and features a racoon puppet playing the harmonica. It's also not jokey at all. Yea, I'm putting it in Friday Videos.
• when the DJ is feeling that Sonic R sunshine - a particularly strange one. Sonic running through a landscape set to House music. But if you stick with it, the game extrudes, warps and projects itself in a way that I've literally never seen before. The explanation is nice but the TLDR is, the effects are very clever!
• seth meyers & andy samberg being besties for 17 minutes straight - yes, I'm in Quaid Army and, yes, I watched all of this with no distractions loving every moment of it.

Happy Halloween! Nice to have the festivities fall on a Friday. Hope you get to enjoy them fully! Here are some treats for you. First, enjoy some Mundane Halloween Costumes. Then, make sure you queue up John Paul Bullock's 2025 Halloween Mix. Then, enjoy these vids!

• Mambo de la muerte - 1951 performance from Tongolele. There are a lot of people dressed in DIY skeleton costumes, tons of horns and dancing. Impossible not to love. via Falfa.
• Squirrel Nut Zippers "Hell" - I haven't listened to thsi in 20 years but this week I woke up every morning with this song in my head. Truthfully: it rips.
• Jan Terri - Get Down Goblin - you may not listen to the entire song but that chorus is gonna stick with you for awhile.
• The Monster Club Dancer - perfectly campy horror movie from 1981 that has this dancer scene between stories. The transition that occurs is fantastic. Jump to 2:36 to get it going (but the whole song rules).
• Rapping Werewolves Spotted in Middle Tennessee - a more pessimistic version of me would have rolled my eyes at this but I can't deny its charms. If I saw a pack of werewolves downtown rapping, I'd be enamored.
• Boo Dudes - Skeleton Dog - we talked about this already but I keep coming back to it. Stupid but delightful.
• Trick or Treat Possum Style - if you're into public access TV flavors, this is pure uncut goodness.
• The Company of Wolves - the quality on this trailer is downright awful but I can't help but be completely intrigued by those wolves!
• Pumpkin Dance - you've seen it. It's a classic. See it again.
• Masque of the Red Death Credits - really amusing Vincent Price movie from 1964 with some very cool closing credits. You gotta jump to 1:40 to get the goods.

The previous Friday video GIF is an all time best. Not sure we'll top that one for awhile but a bootleg pumpkin dance man ain't half bad. Let's get to it.

• Foxwarren - "Deadhead" - Director Joe Cappa should win every award available for this delight. The gift that never stops giving.
• "How to Orchid" with Matt Berry and Jemaine Clement - 12 minutes of this instrument being demo'ed in a way that only these two could do. Dry, frustrating and perfectly amusing.
• Modest Mouse's discography but only every time Isaac Brock says well - actually surprised it's only 93 seconds.
• GBoard Dial Version - a very dumb idea that these Google employees fully commit to. Bravo!
• Catfish Haven on Chic-A-Go-Go - revisited this band recently and stumbled on this performance. Let's all hope that Cable Access TV never goes away. What a gem.
• Ace Frehley on Tom Snyder - I do not consider myself much of a KISS fan, especially their band interviews. However, this one is quite special as Frehley is especially funny and affable the whole time as Gene Simmons wants to look like a bad ass so hard. The silent clash is wonderful. Maybe don't watch the whole thing but skip around to whenever Frehley talks, it's great.
• The Dark Half 1992, DOS Playthrough - for some unknowable reason, the 1992 film The Dark Half was made into a point-and-click video game. On one level it's impressive that this much work was put into such a thing but on another level, why did they do this? It does not look particularly fun but it has some incredible cut scenes. Consider this an endurance challenge - 1 hour of a game you did not know existed about a movie you've probably never heard of.

More than ever, a little levity is a welcome gift. Maybe a lot of levity? Here's a bunch of treats for you that I hope bring that for you.

• Knorr Soup Schloup - sometimes an ad emerges online that is absolute perfection. Both pure joy and pure terror. No notes.
• James Brown's Japanese Miso Soup Commercials - speaking of soup commercials, here's a pair of classics.
• 2001 Nissin Milk Seafood Noodles - speaking of classic Japanese commercials. Nothing will ever top ole Cheesieboy and Pepperman. Well, maybe this? Tough competition.
• The Legend of Beavis - can you mix footage from The LEgend of Zelda cartoon and Beavis? Turns out the answer is, "Yes, perfectly." Huge props to KhalidSMShahin for the amount of work this must have taken. I know ten minutes is long for a Friday vid but if you enjoy a Beavis, this hits the right spot.
• Introducing A Toilet In The 18th Century - I'm happy Mitchell & Webb are back with a new series, mostly because I'm always on board to see David Mitchell be impatient, incredulous and perturbed.
• Your neighbor is playing DK Bananza at 3am - silly but amusing.
• LinuxCon Worldwide 2021 - so many Linux jokes I do not get but I appreciate the execution.
• Tom Jones & Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - can you mix Tom Jones with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young? Turns out the answer is, "Yes, perfectly."

I put the Knorr soup guy on a loop. I can watch it forever.

Recently I've been playing a lot of Snood - the 1996 Mac OS puzzle game. I did not have a Mac in 1996, so there's no nostalgia for me here - I'm just enjoying the weird characters and just challenging enough gameplay. I'm also learning that "Snood" is that fleshy protuberance on a turkey forehead and, in more modern parlance, a turtleneck + scarf combo. One could argue that those popular face coverings being leveraged by police / ICE agents are snoods. I welcome referring to them as exactly that.

But you aren't here to be reminded ICE exists, you're here for distractions. Honestly, the best thing you'll see this year is here but embedding Instagram is a pain, so you'll have to click through. Otherwise, here we go!

• Breakdance Fight - a Friday Video style classic: a b-movie fight that doubles as a ballet breakdance.
• Keyes on Van Nuys - endurance challenge. It's only 30seconds but it's maddening.
• Tape Bowing Ensemble - this made the rounds a few weeks ago but if you missed it, do watch it. Playing Tape Machines with bows.. unbelievably cool.
• If Deftones Wrote "Paranoid Android" - the ole Deftones are having a bit of a resurgence in 2025 (thanks to TikTok, I think?). This mashup cover from Mac Glocky is pretty spot on, imo.
• Limp Bizkit Radio Disney "Break Stuff" - been a minute since I heard a Andy Rehfeldt "Smooth Jazz" version of a song. Still funny.
• Karl Pilkington in Zelda, Mountain Trail - it's also been a long minute since I thought about Karl Pilkington but this channel has created an unbelievable mash-up from his travel show and Zelda footage. Stranger still, there's lots more of it.
• Star Trek Pen Infomerical - go for the transporter pen but please stay at least 28s for the phone operator. Please!

It takes longer to compile a solid list of Friday Videos these days but let's be honest, your Instagram and TikTok apps are keeping you plenty fed on nonsense. This is just a bonus.

What's that cover image? I haven't the slightest clue.

• The Ballon Dare - I recently caught this on Instagram and enjoyed every single second of it. I look forward to any number of imitators.
• Weird Simpsons VHS by Yoanna Hervo - the artist is certainly someone to learn more about and this Simpson's intro is a fantastic place to start.
• Friendship extended scene - this is one of many extended cuts between Tim Robinson and Connor O'Malley. When Robinson says "What kind of guy are you!?" I lose it. I love this so much.
• Aphex Twin - "Korg Funk 5" - artist Nadia Lee Cohen reimagined this 2017 track into what I'm calling a psychedelic Suspiria but others have called a "surrealist Hollywood hellscape." Tomato, Tomatoe.
• Don't Touch It - the Defy Film Festival is next week. I originally saw this Kirsten Johnson short there.. an excellent revisit.
• Ozzy Osbourne vs Synthesizer - RIP to a real one.

Friday Videos is no longer a weekly feature but I still enjoy it when I've compiled enough ridiculous things to share with you. You know how crazy it is out there, give yourself a few minutes to unwind and enjoy the absurd.

• DRAM - Cash Machine - found myself revisiting this video recently. Still an absolute delight start to finish.
• NES Commercial? - I could not begin to tell you if this was real or parody. Either way, I think this aesthetic is making a comeback.
• Two Talking Tom Test - this is 13 years old so it's likely you've seen it or it's even been on this site before.. but I enjoyed the revisit. I was impressed it had an upper threshold!
• Steve Jobs Opera - in all honesty, if I saw this in person I would be delighted. But seeing it as a 30second Internet commercial, I'm aghast there was funding for this to exist.
• Paving - I found myself visiting more modern works from Yoshinao Satoh. I really admire how much he is able to do with constraints and repetition.
• "Bring Me Everyone" - you know that outlandish scene in Leon: The Professional where Gary Oldman screams his line like a madman? Apparently that was just meant to be a goof!
• The Goof - been a minute since I watched this chunk of The Ten. Great goof.
• Can We Fool The VFX Wizard? - I'm unfamiliar with the Nounish channel but have been enjoying what I've seen. Sort of like Dropout, there's a lot of recurring contributions.
• The 11 Body Systems - nurse Reup gives you a real education on the human body!
• 600m Glass Water Slide - YouTube loves to serve me up first person perspective experiences of rollercoasters around the world. Watch this and maybe it'll start doing it for you too.

I've also really been enjoying this Full Comedy Actor Roundtable with Seth Rogen, Adam Brody, Jason Segel, John Mulaney, Julio Torres and Ted Danson. There are many of these from The Hollywood Reporter, so let this also be a door opening your recommendations.

It's okay to be tired. Just have some bottomless coffee and stare off into the distance. It helps. Here's some entertainment.

• Conner O'Malley - "Slugs" - Over the years, O'Malley has gone more and more subversive with his videos. This is a fantastic piece of work containing plenty of the absurd and true social commentary. The very end made me extremely uncomfortable, which I think is the point? Hopefully it is taken for the satire and commentary that it is.
• Kiwi Nutrition Reform - a campaign to help get Japan eating healthier.. with Kiwi. Of course the commercial is incredible start to finish. There's another one worth watching too.
• Woman & Octopus Are Best Friends - I don't care that this is The Dodo and it's something your aunt would send you on Facebook. It's delightful.
• SNL's Chloe Fineman on Letterman - in 2004, Chloe Fineman appeared on Letterman to show off her own stupid human trick of bird calling. It's legimately impressive and truly stupid at the same time.
• Criterion Closet: Ben Affleck Picks - these are always entertaining but Affleck is much more of a cinephile than I think he gets credit for. Also, his comments on Dazed & Confused and Armageddon are a delight.
• The Making of Charli XCX Joke - really enjoying everything I see from the John Mulaney Netflix show. This stupid joke with behind-the-scenes sendup is just more affirmation that it's a treat! Another good one here.
• Lindy Hop Moments - I personally have no interest in being a competitive dancer but I'd be lying if I said this isn't impressive. It's wild and seems like they're having a blast.
• Dschinghis Khan / Starparade 1979 - In 2025, this isn't particularly outlandish to see anymore but that doesn't make it any less refreshing. A 46-year old musical performance of some heavily themed pop music from Germany that looks like the precursor to the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers should not go unappreciated.

Fun fact, this week I was selected for jury duty and considered for this trial of US Govt vs (Allegedy) Corrupt Politician. I did not make the cut. While I will never know exactly why I was not selected, I like to believe that the Prosecution really pulled for me. I'm going to go ahead and let you in a little secret: the defendants are guilty! Maybe that's why I wasn't picked!

Anyway, lets have some distractions, why don't we?

• It's Claritin Time - this has been making the rounds on social media. If you were raised in the 90s it may not raise an eyebrow but looking at it objectively, the whole is madness.
• Switch 2 with Paul Rudd - this is nostalgia bait taken to its extremes but I won't deny that I enjoyed it. Good to see Joe Lo Truglio pop up in there too.
• This Cheetos Rebrand is Crazy - for a moment, you question if it's a spoof.
• AIRBOARDERS trailer - as part of my deep dive into all things Game Changer, I'm partaking in Jacob Wysocki's comedy troupe Bath Boys. This is peak Internet here - originally posted in 2013.
• Yoshinao Satoh: POWER - I have mentioned my enjoyment of Yoshinao Satoh's work in previous posts. This is another example of that goodness.
• The Most Injured Man in America - Director Seth Pomeroy just announced his new documentary and it reminded me that I need to revisit this incredible montage of clips where he played an injured person receiving settlements. Still absolutely brilliant.

Welp, it finally happened! The COVID caught me. It's been five years and I've managed to avoid it this whole time but I started feeling real brain foggy the other day and decided to take a test just as a precaution.. positive results! In a bad way! No clue where I got it but I'll blame the Deftones show I went to. Had to be that, right?

If you haven't watched this yet, please do. It'll mean a lot to me. Otherwise, here's some distractions for you and for me!

• Treadmill Fruit Race - the ultimate fruit and vegetable race on a treadmill. Make sure you watch the more recent rematch.
• Fully Flared Intro - this Spike Jonze skate video intro is insane. Watch it and then watch....
• Fully Flared Making Of - great behind the scenes footage and insight on how that video was made. Those skaters were in some legit danger!
• John Mulaney, Bone-Thugs Intro - if you have not heard the tale of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony appearing on Mulaney's Netflix show, enjoy this treat.
• Bob Mortimer's Magnificently Unhinged Magic Show -there's a British "reality competition show" called Last One Laughing in which a bunch of comedians hang out in a room trying not to laugh at one another's attempts. Apparently the show has been around for a decade but Amazon recently picked it up? Not sure on the whole history but Mortimer is a great entry point. There's loads more clips on YouTube. Here's one vs Richard Ayoade.
• Norm MacDonald Teaches James Corden The Definition of 'Nonplussed' - its less explosive than the title would lead you to believe but it's still a delight to see.
• White Lotus Season 3 Them with UNCUT ENDING - turns out the composer of the White Lotus music butted heads with creator Mike White over the show music and just decided to release the Season 3 intro uncut.. which includes the lolololo vocals everyone loves.
• Wilby - Pleaser - solid music video for an enjoyable new song.. gotta support the Nashville scene!
• Why John Wilson can’t stop filming - really loved this bit of insight into Wilson's different processes.
• Street Fighter II vs Fighter's History Character Comparison - Lawsuit Exhibit Video - look, I don't know why YouTube is showing me a legal deposition video where videogame studio Data East defends themselves against allegations from Capcom but I sure am glad I saw it. Ridiculous.

If you ever find yourself needing a quick pick-me-up, just cruise on over to Giphy and look at the skeleton tag - delights abound.

Let's get to it:

• The Severance Theme sounds SICK on Classical Guitar ... - can't deny it, it does sound sick.
• Gou Miyagi - Heroin's Video Nasty - even if you do not consider yourself a fan of skate videos, please watch this. There is so much delightful absurdity woven in here that it's impossible not to appreciate.
• Pioneer LaserDisc logos in Space - been spending some time with the Audio Visual Identity Database and running across gems like this one.
• The Fibrovisor - turning a dollar store fiber optic wand into an actual lo-res display. The end result is quite neat but the process to get there is unfathomable. The patience required! Remarkable little project.
• George Harrison 1992 "Taxman" - some rehearsal footage for an MTV performance at Shepperton Studios. I don't claim to know much of the history of this clip but I love the alternate lyrics and seeing members of The Heartbreakers playing with him.
• ULTIMATE SOUR MILK SEA MASH-UP (2025) - speaking of Harrison, "Sour Milk Sea" was a Esher demo from him, properly recorded by Jackie Lomax (with multiple Beatles backing him up) and now subject to a lot of Beatles fans using AI tools to create new versions. It's a fascinating mashup and a very fun rabbit hole to explore.
• Daffy in Wackyland - I swore I posted this previously but maybe not! I don't consider myself much of a Daffy Duck cartoon watcher but the style and manic energy of this is undeniable. It's like Claymation Beetlejuice, Ren-and-Stimpy, Sifl and Olly Show, Gumby and Memphis Group design vibes got thrown in a blender and put back together in the best possible way.

I was gonna use this Veep GIF for the cover but it was just too real. You're here for relief, not reminders. So, let's get to the enjoyable distractions!

• Lifeforce trailer - have we talked about this 1985 Tobe Hooper movie about Space Vampires? It recently got the whole restoration treatment and I think it's time I finally saw it.
• C64 Demo: Phonics Is Dead - YouTube has realized that I need to be aware of all things Commodore 64. This demo is fantastic but considering it was made on a computer from 1982 is unbelievable.
• David Lynch on Living & Dying - the only upside to Lynch's passing is that clips like this bubble up. This is not your typical Friday Videos fodder but, damn, it's 3 minutes of delight.
• TV Wheel: The X Box - did you know Joel Hodgson (or MST3K) had a 1995 pilot called TV Wheel, funded by HBO? It's sketch comedy show with a single camera mounted inside of a giant rotating mechanism. It's 37 minutes! I can't really decide if it's funny, which isn't a great sign, but there are lots of familiar faces in there (I spy David Cross).
• Backflips - I continue to highly enjoy Montessori Boy and continue to wish they posted more on YouTube, as I can't quite seem to get TikTok into my regular rotation.
• Fofão - have I mentioned Fofao here yet? The Brazilian children's show mascot that is pure terror? I don't think I have. I'm sorry to bring this to your attention if you weren't already aware but if I have to know it exists, so do you.
