• The Many Moods of Chewbacca - sometimes you just can't help but love some Chewbacca growls.
• The Double trailer - I've talked about my anticipation for this film before but I finally got to see it last night and am endorsing everyone see it if they get the chance. Richard Ayoade does a great job with his second film and Avi Korine (Harmony's brother) helped to write the script. Lots of talent all around.
• Artsy Fartsy - nailed it.
• Junior - Mama Used To Say - 3:35 of the best music video you've ever seen.

Also be sure to watch Start Puffing Boy - a drugged out, bizarre cut of King of the Hill where Bobby tries smoking. It's a phenomenal, absurd, somewhat insane and creepy piece of work. The Internet needs more stuff like this.

Glad the weekend is upon us. These work weeks are rather intense these days, huh? Amirite? Just kidding, work is great. Can't wait to show off some big new things. In the meantime, enjoy this playlist, as usual.

• Cat Headshot - the feline depicted in this is, obviously, quite fine but I can't even comprehend how they managed to catch this and who decided it was a great idea to put it into the show. Ridiculous.
• Mercury Mistress - this is an old SNL commercial that I managed to miss up until now. Obviously it's old news but I love Chris Parnell.
• Webdriver Torso - I'm sorry. I've no idea what this channel is. Absolutely none. It's baffling but I'm mesmerized by its mystery. via John.
• Tiny Hamster Eating a Tiny Pizza - the series continues. I approve.
• The Faint - Evil Voices - I wasn't sold on the new stuff I was hearing from The Faint until I ran across this. This is the Faint style I like best.
• Shocking Family Feud Fast Money - heads up, this is not funny. You keep waiting for the funny but it never comes. Only sadness. Not that you feel genuine sadness for a family on a gameshow but, man, what a heartbreaking turn of events.
• TMBG - Am I Awake fan video - Overall, They Might Be Giants hasn't put out a lot of stuff that I really love the past few years. However, this song was always great and this video is just the perfect level of creepy. Watch it twice, at least.
• The 90's Alt-Rock Vocal Hook Supercut - because we all love nostalgia from the 90's.

As VHX continues to grow in the digital distribution department, the Community side gets neglected a little bit (officially, it's entirely unsupported). So, this weeks playlist looks a little short but that's just because I couldn't add some videos for whatever reason. Regardless, enjoy!

• Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos - uh, yes please! This is labeled as "Episode 1" so I really look forward to how this develops into more tiny foods.. or just more tiny burritos.
• ZomBeavers Trailer - this is beyond dumb and it hits on every single mark that you would expect it to.
• 56K Modem Remix - I enjoyed this FAR too much. via Forest.
• Drag Queen Entrance - I really don't care that this is a drag queen and I'm sure this is rather old hat for lots of you but it was new to me. The actual entrance is hilarious and unexpected.

Additively, you really should watch these:

• Jackson Browne - Lawyers in Love - this video is weird. Period. I mean, it starts with a floating drummers arm and quickly transitions to youthful aliens visiting him at home. Very bizarre.
• The Grand Budapest Hotel VFX Breakdown - call me ignorant (or optimistic) but I did not realize Anderson leaned so heavily on CG effects for set dressing and mood. He does a fine job of it but it's probably one of the clear differences between pre-Fantastic Fox Anderson and post.
• Fire Season by The Revival Hour - if you did not watch this earlier in the week, please do so now.

I'm spending my weekend moving apartments - a whole two blocks from where I'm currently located. Nothing like packing all your belongings into boxes, moving two blocks and unpacking said boxes. Exciting times!

• Europe in 8-Bits - the opening titles to this film are pitch perfect. The life, death and rebirth of the Gameboy. I would watch an entire film of this.
• Street Fighter II (Church Edition) - no words. Entertainment perfection.
• Piggy Wants Salad - I hate to admit it but that pig won my heart. Look at that little face!
• Mount Sharp - Serious Business - if you haven't watched it yet, dive into this episode of BTR with Mount Sharp.
• Abner Jay - I'm So Depressed - I saw James Wallace cover this the other week and I've been obsessively listening to it ever since. If you know nothing of Abner Jay (as I did not), look him up.
• Every Thin Lizzy Guitar Solo 1971 - 1983 - I listened to this entire hour fifteen and loved every single second of it.

Technically I have today off work, but I'm still sitting on the ole computer just browsing around and looking at dumb videos. You know, these. Enjoy!

• Nissin Commercial - I love this because there isn't a moment of it that I understand. I don't even want to understand it. I just enjoy it for what it is.
• Worst Wheel of Fortune Contestant Ever - I mean, poor dude, right? But definitely better than this poor guy.
• Obvious Child Trailer - It's a shame that Jenny Slate was let go from SNL after her one season but this movie looks pretty entertaining. Looking forward to it.
• Bear on Stairs - this is not computer generated animation! It's actually a series of 3D printed models done in traditional stop motion style. Love it.
• Pharrell - Happy (No Music Version) - I wish they'd pushed this further into These People Look Crazy territory but it's still solid.
• Hulk Kid gets mad from Mama Jokes - I love this video. I made plenty of crude computer art growing up but the tools are so much more robust now you can make some pretty epic things - like these kids having an awesome afternoon. This is 100% not mocking.. it's just pure entertainment.

Unfortunately these two videos are not setup for embedding but I highly recommend them:

• The Futility of Existence - just soak this in. Don't jump ahead.. just enjoy the struggle.
• Japanese Racing Rendition - I've likely seen this before but it still strikes me as from another world. Make it a full minute, that's when the real insanity starts.

• The Worf of Starfleet - maybe this parody has already made the rounds. Maybe I'm entirely behind on this but, man, I am loving this. Incredibly well done and I love a solid Michael Dorn quote.
• Beck "Black Tambourine" - how have I never seen this video? Can someone recreate it with ASCIIcam?
• Chicken Nugger - sometimes I delve into /r/DeepIntoYoutube and emerge with incredibly weird gems like this one.
• Food Reviewer: BK Rodeo Chicken Sandwich - it's been 6 months since the Food Reviewer has posted any of his incredibly earnest takes on food. I want to make sure it is clear that I don't enjoy this as a means to mock this kid.. I enjoy it because he's reviewing terrible food and giving absolutely serious takes on how it sits with him. There's something hysterical about the calmness of it.
• Rise of the Patent Troll - a quality video from Kirby Ferguson on a rather important topic. I will talk more about this later I am sure. Do your homework, watch this.
• Imagine the Band - what happens when you take an instrumental version of "Imagine" and an acapella version of "Band on the Run"? Magic, that's what.
• Let's Get Social - admittedly, I feel real bad for this girl and even worse for whoever wrote this. Be sure to read along with the lyrics.
• Wish I Was Here - Trailer 2 - did you see the official teaser trailer for Zach Braff's new movie? Well, make sure you watch this second version to really get some enjoyment.
• Uncle Skeleton - "VHF" - I've been posting about this all week and my desire to have it be seen by as many eyes as possible. So, of course, I'm including here.
• 50 Cent dubbed with Jehovah's Witnesses want Deaf People to Stop Masturbating - don't care if it's legit. don't care if i've posted it before. this is too entertaining to not just enjoy again.

• Gravity Opening Sequence Alt - this is so dumb but hits on all the right notes. Kind of like this - it's ridiculous but its also kind of perfect.
• Shape - a fairly incredibly animation about design but, mostly, just a bit of eye candy.
• Magic for Dogs - turns out, dogs are just as confused and bewildered by magic as the rest of us... with an added dash of panic.
• DOOMED: The Untold Story of Roger Corman's "The Fantastic Four" - did you know famed director Roger Corman made a very faithful Fantastic Four movie back in 1994? It was never released and looks, unsurprisingly, pretty cheesy terrible. I want to see it real bad. This documentary piqued my interest big time.
• Fox News accurately recreates a bear encounter. - see title.

Every week I feel like work gets more and more intense - which means less browse time for videos. This is far from a complaint - just a warning that Friday videos may become a solid four each week instead of six minimum. Better to fade away gently, right? All jokes aside, I think you'll enjoy this playlist.

• Generic Brand Video - another video based on a solid McSweeney's post. If this is an emerging trend, I'm into it.
• Bane Cat - it's not hysterical but it's pretty funny. I mean, Cat As Bad Guy is a time tested formula, right?
• St. Paul and the Broken Bones - Don't Mean a Thing - it's not so much the performance that surprised me as it was the lead guys voice.. did not see that coming.
• Time League's Cheap Thrills guarantee - if you see Cheap Thrills and don't love it, Drafthouse owner Tim League will let you slap him in the face (and give you a refund).
• Buck Wild! - this little Wonder Showzen clip comes up in my mind pretty regularly.. it's a good one to revisit at least once a week. A Chomp and a Hoagie!
• Original Acid Warp - after my little trip down After Dark memory lane I couldn't help but revisit this classic.

• DJ Snake & Lil Jon - Turn Down For What - incredibly NSFW but this Daniels directed video is unreal. The first minute is one of the best things I've seen in awhile. Certainly crass in its own way but we're talking about a Lil Jon video. Just Enjoy.
• Neil Degrasse Tyson Slow Motion - a cheap trick that works effectively well here.
• Tiny Worlds - Submarine - just a delightful little animation showing how garbage gets cleaned. There are more if you like.
• Busby Berkeley - I Only Have Eyes For You - a seemingly straightforward love ballad until about the 4 minute mark, when it goes into full-on craziness. What a production!
• Fargo - FX - When I heard about this series I assumed it would be an unnecessary reworking of a fine film but having seen the trailer, I am honestly anticipating its release. Great looking cast to say the least.
• My Mother The Car - did you know there was a 1965 Jerry Van Dyke show in which his mother is reincarnated as a car? The Synopsis makes it sound like a real hoot... or unwatchable. I can't tell.
• Ballad of a WiFi Hero - an animation adapted from a McSweeney's piece entitled In Which I Fix My Girlfriend's Grandparents' WiFi and Am Hailed as a Conquering Hero. It's got a little slower pace but it's narrated by H. Jon Benjamin, animated by Jesse Benjamin and has music by Paul Sprangers. So, yea, stick with it.

There are other entertaining videos making the rounds but I didn't want to over clutter. Dive in and have a great weekend.

I've been out of town all week and done almost zero browsing - so I have no bevy of videos to share! However, this video about nothing should be a nice, appropriate, placeholder. It's a long one but I suggest sticking with it for the duration as it gets a bit weirder as you go along.

• LIVR App - this thing teeters between being clever and aggravating for the duration. I'm still not sure where I stand on it.
• Obvious Child - Pee Pee Missiles - really hoping I can see this during SXSW this year.
• True Detective - Yellow King Theory - one clever YouTube'r seems to have figured out the Yellow King from HBO's finest.
• True Detective / Law & Order Mashup - yes, two True Detectives in a row. The series ends on Sunday - enjoy these things while they are still pop culture relevant!
• Jumping Fitness Gone Wild - wait for it. I've watched this no less than 25 times this week and I show no signs of slowing up.

• Silicon Valley Teaser - TV series based on the startup scene are going to be undeniably goofy but when it comes from Mike Judge I'm willing to give it a serious chance.
• Dank Ass Sandboarding Son - I can't imagine a better soundtrack for this. The internet is so weird.
• db Band - Loosen Up - I am a huge fan of Supergrass and am glad to see that Mick - the non-Gaz talent in the group - has a new undertaking putting out some quality songs. Looking forward to more as it emerges.
• Alf Clausen - The Land of Chocolate - I could listen to this song all day. Read up on Clausen, pretty fascinating
• Mason Reese Dancing - I know I've seen this before but the fascinating terror aspect of it never dies down.
• 1989 Batman Documentary - have a spare 25 minutes to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of the 1989 Batman? Here ya go.
• Slow Motion Fetch - the enthusiasm involved here is beyond words. Love it.

I can happily say that I'm pleased with this weeks playlist - a nice variety of weird, hilarious and just regular ole enjoyable videos. As it should be.

• Mickey Mouse Remastered - Have you ever wondered what if you took "Steamboat Willie" and remade it in crude 3D tools? Well, Really 3D removes the guesswork. The answer is: ridiculous.
• Meshuggah Face of Wall Street - the pairing of Meshuggah and Wolf of Wall Street could not be more perfect. There's also a 10-minute version if you're into it.
• Reni Lane plays Keezy - I'll be honest, I don't know who Reni Lane is but this 2 minute piece showcasing the power of Keezy is great. Period. There's another video with Francis and the Lights but this Reni Lane one is less instructive and more exemplarily. Hopefully there's more on the way!
• Dog Biting Graphic - I may have shared this already but I can't stop watching it and dying laughing.
• The Visual Themes of Wes Anderson - a compilation of interview snippets and comparison shots from Wes Anderson. If you never realized he was heavily influenced by theatrical plays, this is your time to step up.
• Goats balancing on a steel ribbon - Are goats the new cats? Let's hope so because this is delightful.

If you still need more, watch this brilliant David Attenborough narrating curling.. it's as Dry as British humor can get but it's pretty perfect.

It's Valentine's Day! But I don't really have much of a thematic collection for this week. Hopefully the distraction itself will prove to be enough:

• Stepping on M83 - I'm sure I've seen this before but I think we could all stand to watch it again a few times.
• Movie Title Breakup - this conversation is comprised entirely of movie titles. At first I was rolling my eyes at the concept but a solid ten seconds later I could not believe how rapid fire it was happening. Sure, some of the back and forth is a bit rigid but it's an impressive accomplishment.
• AT-AT Sochi - I can't help it. I'm a sucker for a good laser blast.
• Facebook Fraud - not a funny video but, rather, an educational one. It's 9 minutes, which is entirely too long for all of our collective attention spans, but it goes through an educational walkthrough of why buying Facebook likes - properly or improperly - is really a rather bad idea. I found it quite interesting.
• Ken Burns - Past is Present - this ends up being an ad for a new Ken Burns app but I love the first portion of it that speaks to the ongoing repetitious cycle of history. Can't get enough of that.
• Fatal Farm Robocop Remake - this is very NSFW and maybe even NSFL but given that it's Valentine's Day, you should probably watch it.

• The Sunday Times - Icons - nice single shot of some rather recognizable icons. Some surprising inclusions in there (Daft Punk is well known enough to be iconic?) but a delightful piece.
• THE GAP by Ira Glass - I'm sure you've seen this Ira Glass quote but this Daniel Sax piece putting it into a more visual form is a delightful undertaking.
• Jerry Seinfeld on Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee - very interesting to hear him speak about having a show you can take with you anywhere. Very much a different mentality than many others have.
• Pause Fest ID 2014 - just an incredible piece of animation. Period.
• C.H.O.M.P.S. trailer - a 1979 film about a robot dog. I find this hilarious and somewhat disturbing for a number of reasons.
• Marijuana Session 1 - this really has nothing to do with Marijuana and more to do with the notion that people are weird. Beyond words really. Oh, and there's lots more where that came from. A wellspring of weirdness if you will.
• Sophie's First Time To See Snow - yup, I'm a sucker for animals enjoying snow.

• The Shining minus Delbert Grady - by the same guy who brought you Fight Club Minus Tyler Durden comes another super creepy installment of psycho's talking to themselves.
• YouTube Secret Modes - the video is kind of painful to watch but learning about some secret Youtube modes is worth it.
• Mailman Battles Cat - I don't care if this is ripped straight from America's Funniest Home Videos, animals antagonizing mailmen is solid humor.
• 12 O'Clock Boys Music Video - 12 O'Clock Boys was released today, a documentary on the dirt bike gangs of Baltimore and this music video is all Go Pro footage taken from their antics. It's a nice 3 minute reminder that you should see the film.
• Peter Weller Reacts to Robocop Remake - you'd think the guy that played the original Robocop and the creepy villain from a season of Dexter might not be able to wax eloquent about the power of storytelling and the unfortunate rise of special effects over character development but you'd be wrong. This is so full of amazing insights and quotes that you really can't miss it. Watch it twice.
• Contemporary Dance Moves with Contemporary Eric - this is absolutely ridiculous but I couldn't help myself from enjoying the various moves. I couldn't help it! via.

• 1001 Movies You Must See (Before You Die) - amazing animation for a, presumably, forthcoming feature. Can you name all the movies shown?
• Fight Club minus Tyler Durden - a glimpse at Fight Club as it happened in reality. Pretty strange but I suppose that's the whole point, huh?
• The Trip to Italy - I loved The Trip and am happy to see there is a sequel. This Michael Caine joke is a bit of recycling but it's not so overdone that I'm not entirely amused by it.
• Cat Thinks Music Makes Peas - I don't care how old this clip is, it's new to me and I was in tears watching this little guys fierce reaction.
• Musicless Virtual Insanity - I actually want to see the entire video done in this style because I think it would really test your willpower. This 1 minute clip is just weird enough to be a good time.
• French Bulldog Plays With His Pups - yea, another animal clip, so what? This guy is downright adorable. Look at that playtime!
• More NFL Bad Lip Reading - for whatever reason, I'm still entertained by these.
• Press Start - what's that? 3 hours of every NES video game intro screen? Yes, I'll take it.

• Friendzone - an intense, nostalgic, compilation of 80's clips. This is nothing new in terms of concept but the execution is pretty phenomenal.
• Cat Creeper - I feel like I've seen this before but it's kind of unbelievably great.
• Codaphonic - Oh Radio - that's right, another reminder that these EP's exist. I know I'm at the verge of annoying with these reminders but it's a damn fine release worth giving a proper listen (or three).
• Codaphonic - Mindwrecker - same as above.

• Slurpee Dance - I've been around the Internet Block enough to not be impressed by silly pandering dance commercials but they managed to nail that "something feels wrong" vibe just right.
• Baby Shocked By Tower Topple - I'm biased because this adorable baby is the offspring of Paige and Kevin but I stand by the cute overload factor of this video despite that, not because of it.
• BABYMETAL DokiDoki - I have this strange feeling that other countries are really on top of their game way more than the US when it comes to inventing new, bizarre, genre mashups.
• WES - I realize this is low hanging fruit but Wes Anderson slow-mo shots paired with early Shins is not something I can avoid enjoying.
• Sloth Enjoys Carrots, Being Sloth - let us all aspire to this level of relaxation in our daily lives.
• Best News Bloopers 2013 - take 15 minutes and watch these flubs. I shouldn't enjoy it as much as I do but I love it.

• Cat Attacks Woman - listen, I understand you don't want a stray cat attacking your little dog but if you harass an animal too much, you will have hell to pay. This is an amazing watch.
• Show Your Work! Book Trailer - Austin Kleon has a new book on the horizon, this is the trailer. Get excited.
• Bored Game - I posted this earlier in the week but it's too good not to make sure you saw it. Crank the nostalgia meter up as high as it will go.
• Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - the first trailer for the Planet of the Apes sequel looks great. I enjoyed the first one and am happy to see them continue the trend. This is likely all I will watch for this movie because I know I'm going to see it!
• Holiday Emergency (Christmas Vacation Remix) - how long as it been since you've had some autotune in your life? Probably too long. Enjoy this tribute to one of this seasons finest films.
• XTC - Thanks for Christmas - A Christmas song from one of the finer pop bands around.
