Another week, another playlist. As usual, there are some true gems and some potential misses that I still find amusing for whatever reason. Enjoy and don't miss the bonus videos.
  • Salsa Dog - this clips rivals Sexophone for Most Loopable Clip I've encountered in a long time.
  • Snowbot - an old Staples commercial that Paul reminded me of. The "weeping weeping" part is perfect.
  • Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow - just be happy you don't get this for Christmas
  • The Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody - most Christmas music is crap. This song is an exception to that rule. You can also watch Brendan Benson cover it.
  • Gang of Four - Kinect Sports - does anyone else find it bizarre that a Gang of Four song with lyrics like this is being used to sell an XBox add-on? I realize it's more acceptable these days to license your music to just about anything but it seems like a really odd combo.
  • Double Dream Hands - the narration for the moves involved with this dance are sublime. The crank to shoulder is my favorite; though, obviously, Double Dream Hands is the real draw.
  • The Thing That Happened - I can't explain why this exists or what the point really is but I was captivated the entire time. via Tromant.
  • All of Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Played At Once - you will not be able to listen to more than 30 seconds of this. In fact, I'd venture to say you won't make it past the 10 second mark.
BONUS
  • Evolution - incredible animation showcasing evolution (and selling Pilot erasable writing utensils). Seriously fantastic - via Jed.
  • The External World - trailer for upcoming David O'Reilly film. If you don't have a macabre sense of humor, this will not be the least bit amusing to you. Fortunately, I do and it is. via Chad.
  • Miracles Club - five minute dance party worth a scrub through just to see if you can figure out why there is a goat there. via Paul.
Have a great weekend.. let's do this again next week.

Enjoy the playlist, I feel like it's got some real doozies in it this week. And if you don't take some time to explore this absurdity you're really depriving yourself...
  • Google TV with Kevin Bacon - he does a surprisingly good impression of himself. I'm still not convinced on the whole Google TV thing but I'm giving Kevin Bacon some bonus points for this one...
  • I'm a Super Supreme - a bit NSFW and absolutely bizarre in every way. The youtube goldmine of Wendy Vainity is one of the more entertaining Internet treasure troves I've encountered in a long time. Try to wrap your brain around this, this or this. They're all perfectly insane and the music on the more recent uploads are legitimately fascinating.
  • Look at this Dog! - just stick with it.. look at this!
  • Dog with Shoes - jump ahead to about :40 seconds in and prepare for the best dog walk you've ever seen.
  • Auto Connection - I wish every commercial on TV was done in this format.
  • Don't Call Me Shirley - classic Leslie Neilsen. I loved Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies as a kid - mostly due to his deadpan / slapstick deliveries.
That's it! Have a great weekend.

I'm going to take a few days off from the computer / blogging for the Thanksgiving break so I'm going ahead with this weeks playlist even though it's a few days premature. Just think of these as conduits for conversation pieces with your family when there is a lull.
  • Nic Cage Losing His Sh*t - four minutes of Nicolas Cage doing what he's known best for.. freaking out.
  • Murder, She Wrote New Theme Song - it's dumb.. real dumb.. but in the most enjoyable way. Via Paige.
  • Offering Time Dance - I am genuinely impressed and fascinated with this guys moves. The fall backwards / quick recovery is phenomenal.
  • Fear in the US News Media - maybe a bit of a thinker piece but I love the quote about "nothing, of any significance, will ever happen to you in your entire boring life." Lots of NSFW language and maybe a bit vitriolic for some but I am loving his guy. Also, via Paige.
  • Why Can't We Walk Straight? - Robert Krulwich lets you know that, blindfolded, you can not walk in a straight line. I dare you to try this with your family over the break. via Kate.
  • Baby Otter vs Stuffed Walrus - sometimes you have to get your cuteness quotient in and this more than covers you for the long holiday.
  • The Blue Whale - I love nature / animal documentaries - so this little CGI walkthrough with David Attenborough inside a blue whale is right up my alley. The heart is as big as a car and pumps 10 tons of blood! Facts!
BONUS Have a great Thanksgiving break. Oh, and don't forget to go download that new And The Relatives album.

A pretty decent playlist this week I believe.. please enjoy.
  • Ukranian 60's Pop - it's 7:30 long but it's enjoyable from start to finish. The perfect soundtrack for any day.
  • Coffee Dream - I start dying laughing every time this video fires up. The craziest part about it is that there are a ton of shots.. this obviously took a whole lot of work.
  • Cat Hiccup Fart - Is this likely an overdubbed sound? Probably. Do I care? Absolutely not.
  • Kitten Surprise - sometimes the best place to look for a heartwarming surprise is under a pile of kittens.
  • Inception (Animal Edition) - I keep telling myself I shouldn't enjoy this but I can't help it.. I was highly entertained.
  • Naked Grandma - you know those clip shows of outrageous old game shows where people say outlandish things? And you wonder - why don't people do that anymore? Well, they do. This one will be repeated on America's Funniest Game Show Moments Volume 48 for years to come.
  • Book Fore-edge Painting - not funny or weird - just impressive and unexpected.
  • Hot Chip - "Didn't Know What Love Was" - with Bernard Sumner and Hot City... and sponsored by Converse. It's kind of a bummer that the corporate tie-in is involved here (everyone is wearing their sneakers in the video) but it is a good video regardless. So, does it matter? Is that what they're going for?
Bonus Have a great weekend!

Lets cut to the chase people - the playlist and the breakdown below.. also, be sure to watch the Bonus videos (please) - some real goods in there I promise.
  • My Tiny Adventure - this is ridiculous, absurd and just the right dose of dumb enjoyable. via Madrid.
  • Tina Fey Answers PBS Questions - she's getting the Mark Twain prize for Comedy and answered a few questions. Not a wildly crazy Friday Video.. just a tame interesting one.
  • In Your Dreams - I dare you to watch the entire 6:35 of this without scrubbing ahead once. It's not possible. via Daniel.
  • Chad Goldwasser - watch this video whenever you want to get pumped up. Or whenever you want to be reminded about the cocaine problem in Austin. I love this guy. via Paige.
  • Webcam amusement - we've all done it but it's great to see someone so amused by the dumb iSight effects offered by Apple.
  • Casteller - every two years in Tarragona, Spain teams gather together to see who can create the worlds largest human pyramid. Aside from being insanely impressive for a number of reasons it's also fairly amusing to watch the structures collapse under their own weight. No one gets hurt and it looks to be a good time. Kind of a feel good video of the day imo.
  • Annoying Eagle - why do I find this amusing? I can not tell.. but I do.
  • Middle School Football Trick Play - I think this one has already made its Internet rounds but it's new to me.. and if football were always this amusing, I'd consider actually watching it.
BONUS
  • Action! - "Sandpiper" - official full length video from one of my favorite local acts of the year. It's a bit on the weird side.. but it's a good one.
  • You! Look At Me! - try to watch this without loving it. I dare you.
  • Twirl A Squirrel - be mesmerized by the full 2:47 seconds of twirling squirrel. What a champ.
Have a great weekend!

Five Videos
I'm in Austin this weekend for the Fun Fun Fun Fest, so the playlist might be a little sparse this go around.. still, there's some gems in there.
  • Go! Bwaaah!! - yes this is hilarious. Yes, you feel terrible for the kid.. absolutely awful but you still laugh a little. After watching this, distract yourself even further with 50 Viral Videos under 30 Seconds Long.. loads of enjoyment in there.
  • Don Draper says "What?" - apparently he says it quite a bit and in many different tones.. all compiled here for your convenience.
  • The McGurk Effect - when it comes to your brain and which sense gets priority in the trust department apparently your eyes trump your ears. Pretty neat.
  • Iron Man IV - a Black20 recut trailer for an Iron Man film consisting of footage from a ridiculous number of sources. Is it sensible? Absolutely not. Is it all that entertaining? Debatable. Regardless, it's fascinating just to see how many clips they pulled from so many sources.
  • Drunk Nude Russian Runs Around Neighborhood - in case you didn't catch it, this one is NSFW in that it features a naked russian man just sort of terrorizing his neighborhood. If you can make it a little over two minutes in you will have seen all it has to offer.
Bonus:
  • The Golem - Black Francis - ole Frank Black re-scored this old 1920 German film with his own musical musings. It's an hour and a half so I suspect you should mark it for Watch It Later.
  • Fake Arms with Zach G - it's a dumb skit but it's amusing none the less.
Have a great weekend.

Friday Videos - Oct. 29th, 2010: Halloween Edition

Eight Videos
In keeping with yearly tradition, here's your 2010 Halloween Playlist...
  • Magic: 1978 Trailer - ventriloquist dummies can be terrifying. I consider this the precursor to Chucky. Oh, and be sure to note it's starring Anthony Hopkins.. ridiculous.
  • Puppies Make Spooky Halloween Sounds - seriously, if you tab to another window and just listen to this, it's the perfect spooky sound.
  • Willem Dafoe's Face - it's Halloween, you need some nightmare fodder. Absolutely disgusting.
  • Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Halloween Song - children in facepaint can be unpleasant, as noted here. It's surprising that this hasn't received the Gimme Pizza treatment yet.
  • Elvira Bloopers - Cassandra Peterson has a few issues during filming. I highly suggest searching out more Elvira videos.. she's just the right balance of amusing and too cheesy for her own good. It's bad but it's bad good.
  • Screamin' Jay Hawkins - I Put A Spell On You - the makeup, the clothes, the complete nonsense screaming, the music.. he's basically the James Brown of Voodoo. The smoking skull cane is a nice touch.
  • Tarantual Ghoul and Her Gravediggers - it's hard to go wrong with animated dancing skeletons and novelty Halloween songs are almost always entertaining a few times through.
  • Mickey Mouse: Haunted House - classic 1929 animation. Take 7 minutes out of your day and enjoy.
BONUS That's all I got! Consider revisiting some old Roseanne Halloween episodes or some Treehouse of Horror from The Simpsons if you need some fodder to help you get in the mood. Have a great weekend!

Before you dive right into the video playlist be sure you snagged the Halloween mix for this year.. it will increase the enjoyability of your weekend. Oh, and watch those Bonus videos - they are all Great, just not embeddable in a YouTube playlist.
  • Gordon Keith Interviews Zach Galifianakis - This is great because Zach is obviously stunned by getting his own interview treatment but a question or two in, he gets it and starts rolling with it. So good.
  • Cute Puppy - yea, that's right. 50 seconds of an adorable puppy making incredible sounds.. likely having a nightmare.
  • Fail Cancel - what happens when you are salmoning up the street and run into a guy not using a crosswalk? Nothing.. the mistakes cancel each other out.
  • Parkour Dog - the Parkour craze was fairly short lived but now it has made its way to the Animal Kingdom.. and I, for one, approve. This dog better get so many treats.
  • Bits in Pieces - a short film about computers made entirely without computers. Be sure to check the Making Of. Via Paige.
  • Star Wars vs Star Trek - typically I try to avoid posting such obvious nerd fodder but this is too well done to avoid. Particularly all the edits to the Star Trek footage.. pretty much spot on.
  • The Rent Is Too Damn High - Jimmy McMillan is no stranger to crazed politics but in this recent New York Governor's Debate he really shined.. everything about him: his look, his cadence, his message, his humor - spot on amusing and not entirely disagreeable. Some have compared him to Tennessee's own Basil Marceaux but I think there's a level of comprehension happening with Mr. McMillan that ole Basil never quite grasped.
BONUS
  • Oops - short film winner of the Vimeo Awards "Experimental Film" category. The transitions between clips are absolutely perfect. Please watch.
  • Salesman Pete - absolutely engaging / perfect animation. Love it.
  • FOPS - Yellow Jacket Corpse - Jeremy tipped me off to the fact that even tho Thee More Shallows is no longer a band, there's a new project called FOPS started by Dee Kesler.. good stuff.
Have a great weekend everyone. Halloween fast approaches.. make sure you got your costume and party plans all set before it's too late.

Six Videos
It will be difficult to follow up last week but there's some goodness in here I do believe.
  • Sammy Davis Jr - Suntory White - this is the excellence that happens when you let Sammy Davis Jr just do his own thing while filming a whisky commercial. There are more of them that I also recommend watching.
  • Move Your Body Boogie - sure, Jazzercise videos are easy targets for humor but if you jump around to the 2:00 mark you will be dazed by the oddity of sounds coming from the ringleader.
  • Rake the Cat - i watched the entirety of this and was delightfully entertained throughout the duration.
  • Super Meat Boy 90's Commercial - this commercial is for a brand new XBox game.. just done in that terrible video game style we all grew up with. The voiceover is among the most perfect I've heard.
  • Halloween Grocery Store Lady - creepy creepy creepy way to sell Snickers.
  • Michael J Fox Spike Awards - recreating the original teaser trailer in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future. And, in case you missed it, footage of Eric Stotlz as Marty McFly has also been making the rounds.
BONUS Have a great weekend. Go out there and get something done!

Here's the playlist! You know what to do.
  • I Want Dat Meatball - one of those bizarre Internet videos that if you ever tried to explain it to anyone you would look insane. Despite that, it's an enjoyable viewing.
  • Smile Practice - with each cut, I like this guy more and more.
  • Lighting a Cigarette - Bollywood pretty much does everything better. From the 1986 film Geraftaar.. a movie I'd like to watch in its entirety now.
  • Kings of Leon Shreds - there are a myriad of "Shreds" videos out there, reworking the audio from popular band performances to make them sound terrible but this one is different.. somehow more subtle. I mean, there's no way this actually went down this way but if you let yourself, you can believe it. Be sure to watch his other shreds when you have a moment.
  • Model Airplane Crash - I think I've watched this ten times.. the reaction is perfect.
  • Elevator Rage - watch this video.. enjoy it for what you see and then read this. Decide for yourself if it's funny, tragic or funny tragic.
  • Pyromania - Matt Curry sends me lots of weird stuff.. that sends me down paths to find equally weird stuff. "Pyromania" is one of those treats we discovered.
  • Two Rabbits, Two Cups - nothing subversive here.. just two adorable rabbits inside cups. Sometimes you gotta cleanse the Friday Video palette with some over the top cuteness.
BONUS
  • Mad Smoke - every cigarette smoked during the show.
  • Beck - "Swept Away" - Beck's Record Club project takes on Yanni. Amusing to say the very least.
  • Reflection NY - simple video concept that I couldn't stop watching.
That's it! Have a great weekend.. you deserve it.

No nonsense this week.. let's get right down to it: BONUS
  • The Unseen Sea - gorgeous compilation of time lapse videos of San Francisco and its never ending fog. Incredible.
  • Awesome Trailer for Awesome Solitaire - the best version of Solitaire for the iPhone has the best commercial for itself. Without a doubt.
  • Wolf Parade - Yulia - great new video featuring Cosmonauts and quality indie rock. How could I ask for more?
Have a great weekend!

If you don't love some of the gems this week you are no fan of Friday Videos. By all means, go forth and enjoy. BONUS
  • A Portland Food Cart: Part 2 - great looking video showcasing the Siete Suerte taco truck in Portland, complete with side mosaic by Jeremy Okai Davis.. he even makes a nice cameo in the video. Acting!
  • El Guincho - "Bombay" - quite NSFW but it's an incredible montage of clips featuring the cosmos, guns, bows and arrows, bare breasts, sparklers, innuendo and a load of great music.
  • Bill Monroe on NYC Subway - yea, that's right. This is so good you need to watch it again.
Have a great weekend. I return to TN on Sunday, first time home in seven weeks.. should be interesting. In the meantime, if you're in NYC - hit me up, we can hang out.

Busy week this week! So, not that many videos.. but why force it? I encountered a bunch of weird sports clips but that's not my bag. Long story short.. on to the playlist.
  • Get Down - I think I've posted this before but it never gets old. Watch this every morning to improve your day by 200%.
  • Good Dancing Avatar - the low res render mixed with the sweet dance moves is an undeniable joy.
  • Let's Eat a Godd*m Snack - wait for it...
  • Tesla Guitar Iron Man - this is either the most bad ass thing in the history of hard rock or one of the dumbest. It's a thin line between the two.
  • Epic Skateboard Trick.. oh wait. - there are a slew of these videos but this one hits the spot just right.
  • Brooklyn Storm - not particularly funny or oddball but a rather impressive (and somewhat terrifying) take on a huge storm rolling through Brooklyn.
BONUS Have a great weekend!!

Five Videos
YouTube's having some problems with their Playlist Editor this week so this isn't the optimal order of things but that's alright.. Enjoy the playlist.
  • 80s Keyboard Man - in a Karate gi. The jumping around is great, the music is great, the set is great but the real icing on the cake is the random spacemen lurking in the back.
  • Watermelon Slingshot - pretty annoying clip from The Amazing Race in which a competitor gets absolutely demolished in the face with a watermelon. It is painful to watch but "they don't call it the amazing race for nothing!"
  • Klingon Fukkireta - I told you this would be back. It's annoying, it's dumb and it's entrancing.
  • AutoTune: The Backin Up Song - glad to see that this woman got the full Gregory Brothers autotune treatment. It's a surprisingly effective pop song.. love it when her voice cracks on the "Oh! Why did I need coffee now?"
  • Comb Jellyfish - not a wildly amusing video per se but I can't get over this creature actually existing in nature. It is spellbinding.
BONUS Have a great weekend!

Gear up for your three day weekend.. maybe even take off work early today. You deserve it. Here's the playlist and the breakdown...
  • Inception Cat - wait for it.... wait for it.... keep waiting.. you don't even need sound for this to be enjoyable.
  • Executive Party - take a scene from Rollerball and put music from a previous scene over it. Result: Gold. via Zach.
  • When Good Bananas Go Bad - the herky jerky movement here is so perfect.. I can't help but die laughing. Via Chris.
  • Plane Propeller via Cell Phone - high speed propeller with low frame rate results in incredible effect. I don't know how this happens but it is phenomenal.
  • Action Sequence - I wasn't sold on this until the final scene with the sword.. the build up to it is good but the payoff is the best.
  • Coffee Lady Describes Incident - nothing that crazy here but you get the feeling that local news are putting this stuff out there as an attempt to create the next meme...
  • Coffee Lady Remix - ... and it's totally working. This remix takes it to a whole new level. After the 1:05 mark you can stop watching.. as there is no need to get an update from the remixer on what he's been doing lately.
BONUS Enjoy your weekend..

Eight Videos
You know the drill. Watch the playlist and read along my insightful poignant thoughts below for each video.
  • In the Summer - disgusting on a number of levels but it's one of those things you just can't look away from. I love the girl screaming at the end.
  • Best Dog Food Commercial - hands down, the best way to get someone to buy dog food. Via Public School.
  • Hot Drinks - training video from Wendy's on how to handle and serve Hot Drinks. At the end of this video you will have zero questions but you will have a fantastic new song stuck in your head. Via Paul.
  • Cold Drinks - same as before but for Cold Drinks. Stick with it or you'll miss the surprising treat before the Tea instructions. Soulful R&B voice? You better believe it.
  • Levi's Trademark 1977 - Commercials are way less Out Of This World than they used to be. I say this as a positive thing.. as this Levi's commercial really puts me in a weird headspace. Via Madrid.
  • Fire Tornado - not the most exciting footage but c'mon.. Fire Tornado.
  • English Bulldog watching TV - this guy is just chillin... There is something oddly offputting / creepy about this clip.
  • Cotopaxi Volcano Timelapse - nothing insane or amusing about this.. just super engaging and fascinating to watch.
BONUS
  • John Hickenlooper - I know nothing of this guys politics but I'm 100% behind his mentality for campaign ads. His site and graphic identity is pretty nice too.
  • Dani Rosenoer - Punching Keys - this was emailed in and is obviously a heavy handed bit of promotion for this guys EP but it totally worked.. as I enjoyed watching him smash up the piano.. which seemed to be in fine working order.
  • 1922 Kodachrome Film Test - actual color film reels from the 1920's.. pretty remarkable to see such a thing.
  • Tron-a-Sutra - I probably shouldn't even link this as it's rather NSFW but the production values and voiceover work is hilarious in so many ways it really should be enjoyed. So, if you're not a fan of sex - skip this one. If you have a good attitude about such things, please proceed.
Have a great weekend! If this somehow wasn't enough video content for you - spend some time with Zero Views and maybe you can discover the next great meme from the bottom of the YouTube barrel.

I'm not sure why but I feel compelled to throw up a quick playlist. of enjoyable videos to start your week off. Maybe I'll regret it come Friday when I'm low on videos for the Friday Videos playlist but I'm going to throw caution to the wind regardless.
  • Jens the Fox - 9-week old Arctic Fox playing with his toys. Is this even legal to own an Arctic Fox?
  • Hot Drinks! - so good. Perfectly enjoyable. Via Paul.
  • Dennis Parker - Like an Eagle - maybe a little disco-y for some but the lyrics are undeniable. Always hungry, always wanting.
Have a great week.

The playlist this week is a little on the weird side. I'd blame Zach for his onslaught of weirdo links but that's unfair.. I love them all.
  • Giant Beach Bubbles - part of my wants to call this out as being some elaborate fake but I think that's just because it looks so surreal.. especially when they pop. Nuts.
  • Please Don't Go - this probably appeals to a very small group of readers but I find it fascinating.. bizarre old footage mixed with stutter-y Fleetwood Mac.
  • Star Trek Theme - sit tight and wait through the build up.. the payoff is 110% worth it. Then watch the rest of his videos.. love this guy. Via Paul.
  • Cheri Monterey - I want this on repeat forever and ever.
  • I Could Tell You But Then I'd Have to Kill You - montage of that line being used over and over.. turns out, it's always terrible.
  • 80's Special Dancefight - is this honestly the rap that went with this song? Are they really robbing this guy of his socks? How is this real?? via Paige.
BONUS
  • Losers: Flush - really not so into the song but the animation style is crazy good. I can't imagine the time it took to put this together.
  • Marcel the Shell with Shoes On - Jenny Slate and Dean Fleischer-Camp make a silly video... the audio is hilarious; just enjoy it.
  • JamnJim25 - I don't even want to say anything about this. It's inappropriate and not for everyone but I'm just stunned by it.
Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday the 13th! Here's your playlist. Enjoy!
  • Conan TBS promo - if Terry Gilliam wasn't involved in this someone owes some royalties for copping his Monty Python animation style to a T.
  • Senhorinha do Ra! - do I have any idea what's happening here? Absolutely not. Do I love it regardless? You betcha.
  • Bed Intruder Song (Marching Band Version) - the meme keeps rolling.. now into a respectable marching band format. via Paige.
  • Break Dancing Grandma Tracy - this is over four minutes and you certainly don't need to see it all but a good healthy minute of viewing will improve your day. I love the "This is not happening" at the very beginning.. it's the best start you could ask for.
  • Reading Rainbow Slo-Mo - it's like a Black Moth Super Rainbow song from your childhood. via Zach.
  • What Puppy? - WHAT PUPPY‽
  • Video Rehab - chalk full of insanity.. I commend you if you make it through the whole thing. Via Renaud.
  • HALKa Trailer - I love the CG in this.. I sorta wish they'd just make a real Hulk movie that was this intentionally crappy looking.
  • An Otter Plays With A Rock - it's the simple things in life that please me the most.
BONUS
  • Theatre of War - Richard Mosse - while technically video this is more like a long form photograph. Slow paced, beautiful and a bit heavy in subject matter. I'm going to make time to watch everything Mr. Mosse has to offer. Via Kate.
  • Graboids Educational Video - commonly known as Landshark or Tremor Monster.
  • World's Longest Yardsale - in all honesty, I haven't even watched through this yet but the concept looks amusing.. it's just a matter of the hosts being completely annoying or not (high possibility that they may be).
Have a great weekend!

Nine Videos
It's a slow build this week on the videos.. stick with it.. you'll earn your humor rewards.
  • Move It! - simplicity at its finest. A plastic cactus plays with a hula hoop. Mesmerizing.
  • How much Hipster can you pack in a Jazz? - the part about Murakami, Godard and the user manual... perfect.
  • Bed Intruder Song - remember last week when I posted this video and was all hesitant about sharing a rape joke? Yea, turns out the entire Internet thought it was hysterical and has blown it up into a fairly substantial meme (for whatever that is worth). Even NPR is in on the phenomena.. crazy.
  • Bang Bang, Boom Boom - maybe this is old news.. maybe over the top local commercials aren't funny anymore.. I dunno.. but I love it. These ladies are having a grand time.
  • Washing Machine Murder - washing machine + brick= murder. So awesome. Via Ryan.
  • The Dancer - the second short film from Dumb Dumb, the advertising collab you may remember that Will Arnett and Jason Bateman are behind. It's ridiculous but entertaining.
  • Jackass 3D Trailer - if you try and say you don't find this appealing, you're lying. via Paul.
  • Arcade Fire - Ready to Start - while I didn't watch the webcast last night (too much RealPlayer style buffering for me) I have to say that seeing this footage from Madison Square Garden gets me very excited to see the band on Monday and solidifies my opinion that the new record is superb. I've read some backlash on it being too juvenile in its concept but I don't buy it.. the record is great from top to bottom; possibly their best yet.
  • Kitten Can't Jump - I've easily watched this ten times on repeat.
BONUS:
  • Darth Schwarzenegger - surprisingly well done Arnold overdub.
  • Owl Coo - aside from this creature looking totally badass it's crazy to see it reacting like a household animal.
  • Do Something Difficult! - I've seen this motivational speaker video before but the guys at Invisible Creature reminded me of it this week and I have to say.. it's still incredibly embarrassing to watch. Poor kid should have tried it before he filmed himself.
Have a great weekend!
