Friday Videos: Funny or Sad?
I'm going to go with a bit of both for each of these. The first one gets a bit old after about 20 seconds but those first 20 seconds are glorious.

The Shoes video is pretty old but needs to be seen (and vaguely NSFW.. the end particularly). The Hexafluoride video is actually part of a series of science videos that I highly recommend. And last, but far from least, the Why Must I Cry? video is an absolutely stunning, incredible, jaw-dropping example of reaching the pinnacle of humor perfection completely by accident (but remember, it's NSFW if you're in that stodgy corporate-esque environment... or somewhere that doesn't approve of watching an amatuer rapper wash himself).

Nothing like a good dose of videos to perk up your Friday slums.

Kudos to YouTube for their new nav buttons. Finally redesigned something that looks better than it did before. I still miss the original video player controls.

The Hamster thing is just weird and the Seinfeld thing may be a bit of beating on a dead horse but it's actually so well done that it's worth posting.

It's Friday. I have links. It's Friday Links!

Out The Other - I've linked this mp3 blog before but I have to stress again that if you enjoy music of the indie rock persuasion, attend local shows, and like good new music.. you really should be reading this site.

TubeSock - rip videos from YouTube and convert to iPod compatible format with little to no hassle. Pretty much a great looking utility but I have yet to try it out.

Bolivia Bug - I am in awe that this thing exists. It must be the mortal enemy of this guy - furry vs. shiny. Which will win?

Beck / Gondry collab - some production stills from the forthcoming "Cell Phones Dead" video. Apparently it is already in post production. The song is good too.

Perry Bible Fellowship - the best comic strip of the past 10 years has a new official site. It's a big buggy on the Mac from what I can tell but any hurdle is worth overcoming to read the great PBF. I am giving serious consideration to purchasing a high quality printed version of Sgt. Grumbles.

Snakes On A Plane Caller - the hype for this movie is so far overblown that it has come to this. Input a name, enter a few details, a phone number and viola - Sam Jackson calls and insists you go see the movie. Count me in (and likely count me in for Snakes On A Train as well).

Google Map Phenomena - check that satellite rendering. Amazing.

User Participation Friday
There are an infinite number of hysterical web videos out there but the popularity scale has certainly soared on a few of them. So I'm requesting from you to post links to the greatest web videos you've witnessed. Here are a few example of the sort of thing I'm talking about:
David Hasslehoff - Hooked On A Feeling
Practice Katana
QVC Ladder Mishap
Grape Stomper - my personal favorite
Backflip Nunchucks - possible runner up
Cat Attacks Baby

I'm not looking for any Star Wars kids redux videos.. just the best of the best.
