3D Printing Explosion

Interesting article on the forthcoming 3D Printer Explosion headed our way in 2014. It's not only because of the Makerbot acquisition but because certain patents on "laser sintering" will expire. Oh, also, much cheaper Chinese printer versions coming to market. This may not mean that you're going to have a 3D Printer on your desk but it does mean that a company like Shapeways may be able to acquire enough devices to keep up with the demand. Should be interesting... I can finally get one of these!
