You know the name Boston Dynamics? Sure you do! They're the folks responsible for this robotic nightmare and this somewhat-less-terrifying robot jogger. All and all, they're doing an intense bit of R&D on robotics - the type we think about in sci-fi dystopian futures but also the kind we think about when we say the word "Robot" in general.

Gizmodo has a nice run down on their latest creation ATLAS. The creature can walk indoors and outdoors, pick up boxes, get pushed around and even pick itself off the floor. While there's plenty of hilarious commentary to be made regarding the forthcoming robot wars (why is that human shoving the robot?!?), this is intensely impressive tech. Watch this video to get a proper understanding of everything ATLAS is capable of.

I can't help but think of this whenever Boston Dynamics is mentioned - the Makeup and Vanity Set pairing is the perfect matchup.
