Beyond the Black Rainbow was created in 2010, made the festival rounds in 2011 and seems to be coming to a wider audience now in 2012. The official trailer definitely sets the stage for a pretty bizarre film - parts sci-fi, horror, thriller, and random atmospheric interstitial creations. Stylistically, it seems to manage a great balance between a range of influences. I'm certainly intrigued and will be keeping an eye out for it screening near me anytime soon.
