This is the kind of story that waivers between horrific and fascinating. A
soft robotic stingray has been created; a fusion of rat heart muscles trained to respond to light combined with a layer of elastic polymer. Oh, and a tiny skeleton made out of literal gold. Read this
whole thing and be sure to watch the grainy video of the polymer swimming. Absolutely fascinating.
