The folks from
Birth. Movies. Death. have
launched a PDF magazine version of their site and
Issue 1 is pretty great. The articles are quickly consumable but longer than just a quick blurb or snarky thought. They cover topics like Godzilla and Kaiju, Harryhausen's passing, WTF was Voltron and more. I know it sounds nerdy but there's even a surprisingly thoughtful piece on the 1980's
Transformers movie and how it epitomizes films ability to overcome commercial intent. Go nab it and be sure to subscribe for future issues... I've no doubt they'll be great.
