Now that Chris has posted about the trip to Austin, I will as well. For those that don't know - I went down to Texas with Sarah, making record time (only 13 hours!) and proceeded to just hang out around town for a couple days.
Mostly shopping and boring stuff - but we hit up the Year Of the Rabbit / Grandaddy show (apparently Pete Yorn played too.. we didn't stick around) with Chris and had a good time. Pretty much every third sentence out of his mouth is a lie, but it's still entertaining none-the-less. The show was good - Grandaddy actually pulling out the rock more than ole YOTR, but no complaints about finally seeing Ken Andrews sing and play guitar live.
The next night we were fortunate enough to see Dredg and aside from the all-ages crowd, it was a good time. Not enough stuff from Leitmotif but El Cielo is chalk full of goodness. Then we headed home (again.. only 13 hours) and things are settling back in.
Very cool town, not a huge city vibe but it definetly seemed like things were going on. I hope to develop my two rolls of film very soon and get those up on the ole interweb to share.
Now that we got the boring "real life" post out of the way.. back to finding cool sites.
