cremaster

I went to see Cremaster 3 last night and aside from being just a little bit baffled about what exactly was going on, I really liked it. The cinematography was great, the music and sounds were always intriguing (though not always pleasant), and the fact that it was quite perplexing made it that much more interesting. Granted, it was a dialogue-less 3-hr art film epic, but it did make me want to see the other installments in the series. Sarah described it as the LaChapelle version of David Lynch - a summary that I somewhat agree with (definetly had the brightness and glossy fakeness of LaChapelle in parts, but also leaned towards the gritty workings of Mr. Lynch in parts). Go spend some time at the Cremaster site and see if you can make heads or tails of what is going on in the films. Oh, and what's up with anything Masonic ?
