Not that this should really come as a shock to anyone but David Cross is openly saying that the Arrested Development movie is pretty much dead in the water:

\"Way too much time it\'s been (since the show ended), I mean, there\'s so many people involved. Everyone\'s doing their own thing, you know. And everybody\'s aged. It\'s just not going to happen. I\'m sure I speak for everybody when I say we\'d love for it to happen, we\'d love to work on it, but just I don\'t think... not going to happen.\"

Granted, he could be wrong but it\'s nice to hear from the source that people should stop holding their breath.

In other news, Cross has his new stand-up CD / DVD (separate entities) coming out on Sub Pop in June which should provide a nice bit of new material. EPIX TV (new to me) is actually airing the DVD portion of it this Friday online. You can preview bits of it here.. it appears to be exactly what you expect from Mr. Cross. And I mean that in a good way.
