David Schalliol - Isolated Buildings

It's been a number of years since I posted about the photographic works of David Schalliol. He's fleshed out his Isolated Buildings Studies series into quite an impressive collection. The lonely homes are all located in the Chicago area and I continue to find their surrounding emptiness fascinating. What happened to the neighboring buildings? What happened to the subject that allowed it to stay?
