dumb ole sniper

So why would this DC Sniper leave a message at all? It's so odd to see him starting to open up more and more which just means he'll get caught. I mean.. I'm all for him getting caught and all but it just doesn't seem to make sense. On a side note, I commend Chief Charles Moose for being so media concious - I think that's great. I do not, however, think it's great that they got an audio message from the sniper and asked him to call back because they couldn't understand it...
