Do yourself a favor and track down Robert Rodriguez's show
Director's Chair. It airs on his El Rey network and features in-depth interviews between Rodriguez and a lot of great directors; John Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Mann and George Miller to name but a few. It's a casual conversation but they tend to cover a lot of great insights about the career in question. Quite enjoyable.
