Friday Videos - June 17th, 2011

As always, here is the playlist and the breakdown below. I haven't even hit up my usual depots for videos yet so there may be an extreme list of Bonus videos this week but it seems like Eight videos is plenty to get you ready for the weekend!

• David Byrne Interview - this may be too slow for some of you but the overall weirdness vibe to it is too amusing not to take in every second. And you actually get some good insight on The Talking Heads along the way.
• The Dalai Lama walks into a pizza shop... - what's the dumbest thing you can do when you meet the Dalai Lama? Tell him a pizza joke apparently.
• Space Girl - montage of loads of ladies featured in vintage sci-fi films. It's likely better to supply your own soundtrack but there are loads of great visuals throughout. They just don't make `em like this anymore.
• Yung Jake - Datamosh - pay attention the lyrics; he's just messing with you. Some NSFW language but I love the lazy style of everything but he obviously knows what he's doing.
• Did you hear a click? - adorable couple Rita and Frank try to take a photo on their computer.. end up taking a video. The best.
• One year of the moon in 2.5 Minutes - The moon is such a fascinating thing to me.. it's remarkable to see all of its subtle movements compressed down into such a tiny timeframe.
• Werner Herzog reads "Go the F**k to Sleep" - yes, you heard Sam Jackson do this earlier in the week but there's no resisting the goodness of Herzog reading anything.. particularly this.
• Happy in Paraguay - did I post this as a Friday video years ago? Yes. Is it still hysterical? Absolutely. Maybe even better than it was before.

BONUS

• The Cooking Show: Money Shot - super cut of that "O Face" people give when they first taste the creations from a number of cooking shows. via Paul.
• Science Fare - 4 minute episode of Mike Carlo animation. It's a bit crass at times but I was quite entertained. via Will.
• Lioness tries to eat baby at the zoo - I assume you've all seen this by now but it's worth a revisit as a gentle reminder that Big Cats want to eat your children.
