Garland Gallaspy

Imogene+Willie has a nice article up on Nashville photographer Garland Gallaspy; specifically focused on his new collection of Polaroids tender moments. The slice of life photos document a lifestyle that would likely have long been forgotten had it not been captured in photos - debauchery abound tends to make the previous night hazy. The antics involved may have initially stemmed from a party lifestyle but there is something sweet about them - somehow you can tell that those featured in the images are close friends having a great time; not just strangers trying to one up each other. Maybe I'm projecting but it's a documentation of a freestyle life that, while intimidating, is also alluring.
