Fire up your WebKit browser and check out Down to the Wire; a history of New Zealand's Internet. The content itself is interesting but the scrolling of the three columns as you travel down the page is what you should be fascinated by. Each column is setup to stay proportional to the top of the longest column; keeping most of the content in the viewport for longer and getting rid of a lot of whitespace issues that come up with sidebars. Personally, I think it's brilliant.
