Has anyone tried out Google Now? The intro video makes it seem pretty promising / intriguing / interesting but concepts can often sound way better than execution (doi). There are some aspects of this that are kind of a bummer - i.e. software telling you what the "best dish" is at a restaurant; likely based on crowd sourced reviews and opinions.. a surefire way to create societal homogeny and lack of distinct opinion. However, getting traffic and travel updates, appointment insight, translations, conversions and more all from one app seems like a great step forward into the future. Much better than other aspects, that's for sure.
